Hello, my lovely reader. If you read the first part of Reflections of Oregairu – Genuine, End Girl, & More. until the Ep4, now I will explain more truths via the reflections of Isshiki Iroha (一色 いろは) and other girls. In the previous post, I ended it with the scene when Hikigaya Hachiman (比企谷 八幡) saw his sister, Hikigaya Komachi (比企谷 小町) are entering in the living room where he is staying that is the time and situation when the chasms between Hachiman siblings is still running and the service club will come to the permanent chasm that I assumed that these events are the “loops” or “parallel worlds” between the present (that you can see in ep4) and the future (that you can see in ep12-LN v??).
If you didn’t read my post series – ep3 yet, I super recommend you read it first since this post will not explain why I am searching the truths from Iroha’s story. So I will leave the post link here.
At this point, I will believe you already read my post series ep3-4. In this post, I will describe the reflections of Irohasu’s story and Komachi’s story, and etc. via anime ss2 ep5-10 or LN v8-9.
Ep 5
Is she looking for her sister?
We would know about the quarrel between Hikigaya siblings that ends with the good ending. I recommend you to look at the beginning of ep5 but before you will do that for real, I want to present something interesting in case you don’t believe that Komachi’s story is the reflection of Haruno.
I always think Komachi is like that Nee-san.
In ep5, you would see Komachi goes straight to the refrigerator that her bro thinks she would look for something to drink, I agree with him. But after I reviewed this whole ep5, I saw something interesting about the metaphor, “the refrigerator” in Iroha’s student council office room that is one of the electric equipment that she “needs” them for “the surprising reasons”. So for now, I will say that the scene when [Komachi is looking inside the refrigerator], this reflects [Haruno wants to look for something from her sister or even her sister, Yukinoshita Yukino (雪ノ下 雪乃)].
Since it seems Hachiman’s sister can’t find anything and her sad expression, this also reflects something similar to Haruno’s case. It’s too bad I can’t find the absolute correct answer. I understand if my first assumption begins with this confusing result. How can this refrigerator be the metaphor of Yukino? I will explain why I think like this later in this post. You will see “another” refrigerator somewhere again.
After I realized there is the shuffle between Oregairu route and the alternate route, I also realized that I forgot my own new assumption, my own assumption that many (especially, girls) characters can tell the alternate story or the future story about Haruno. So if I believe in my own unbelievable assumption, I must be unyielding in this path. I mean, right now, Komachi’s story and Iroha’s story are helping each other to tell us Haruno’s path. This is “the new path” that gathers other paths to predict it.
Since Hikigaya siblings can reconcile smoothly, let me interpret that this will happen to Hachiman and another one who he “will understand latterly”.
The deepest layer
I will tell you the truth that I spent time writing this post almost four months because I “re-write” it many times. It took me the third time so I can grasp that “the deepest layer”. It’s not only character’s story can be the reflection of another character”. The deepest layer is not “the hidden truth” that I ever found out before but it’s in the different layer. The hidden truth in my case is the hidden fact about the story but the different layer is the something that is out of the story. Before I found out this deepest layer or the second time I wrote this post and I almost finish this post, I understood “that” must be Hayama’s plan 100% at that time but after I was writing the scene when Hachiman and Iroha are talking at the library, I noticed the deepest layer that made me review and edit this post again that I spent time about 4 months to finish this post. That’s why I always tell my readers that they should not believe my analyzing completely since everything can change.
And if you are waiting for my post, I will say “Thank you so much” and I will show you that it’s worthwhile to be patient for my update with this post. My original purpose is to look for Haruno’s truth via Iroha but it seems the more I look at that kouhai’s story, the more my purpose needs to be expanded. Actually, I don’t want to do that but I can say that the truth I found out is super important to the point I need to expand the scale, I will not explain things directly though. You will see why I think like that and I might edit my other posts (ep3-4) later too. Work creates more work, I see…
That’s why before you will read my post, I recommend you to see some words from characters because they can extract that deepest layer. If you read or listen to the character’s words as the character’s words for real, you will not see that layer at all because I tell from my own experience. But if you do as I suggest, you will see the same thing. So I hope this post will show you that viewpoint. And if you can find that layer that is my own answer, you will find something under that layer that I will call it, “the core”. The core is something you can call the will/objective. It’s not my objective because I am just a reader.
For example, Hikigaya siblings’ case can look as one layer that is the hidden truth that is about the story but I can’t see the different layer clearly. The case between these siblings wouldn’t convince you that much or only their talk is not enough to support my assumption, the next events from now on will show you more and more.
Some interesting clues from Hikigaya siblings.
Although I wrote that I will show you how to find the core, I also want to show you the hidden truth via the scene between Hikigaya siblings first. If you check LN v8, the conversation between Hikigaya siblings when they reconciled, you will see some interesting clues about him and that woman… ⇓
- If Komachi is not his sister, he would not go near.
- Komachi who is not his sister.
- Komachi sees his good points.
- Spending time will make him see the uncute sister becomes the cute sister.
- Komachi’s tsundere – “never go near him.”, “would not take notice of him.” – If you TL these conversely, you will see that woman’s truth toward Hachiman.
- Komachi’s patience
- Spending time with the other- Please read their conversation to see something interesting. ⇓ If you review this quote carefully.
Komachi: “Fifteen years from now. No, that’s not it. There’s definitely a longer period than that too.”
Hachiman: That was surely about the possibilities. The possibility that in the same way it took fifteen years for me to get along well Komachi, there might be someone else who I could do the same with.
If I see Komachi and Hachiman’ thoughts as “the hidden truth” that is about the story, I would see that another character will get along well with Hachiman and that would be a longer period than fifteen years. But if I see these opinions as “the core” that I ever told that it is not about the story, I will tell you how to find the core behind the quote above. You must ignore the present story, characters, and their feelings. Just read as if it is the plain text.
- Komachi’s request. – Do you remember Komachi requests something to her brother? This info reflects many layers but I will not waste time to tell the present story because you would know already. I will explain the other layer. It has “the hidden truth” that is about the story. This hidden truth is no them, no result. I can say that it’s their reflection in the future story and even the other events that you would see them already such as the cultural fes., the sport fes., the school trip, and etc.
If you understand the hidden truth, you will understand “the result” that I mentioned above. This is the deepest layer of Komachi’s opinion, I assume. And you will understand why she says that it is bad if there is no the club, they would be separate for sure. This info has the core. If you do as I ever wrote, how to decode the info, you will understand both the hidden truth and the core. The core that has the truth about separating that is not Yukino and Yuigahama anymore because it’s not about the story anymore. But you can’t find the core if you don’t know what the hidden truth is.
When the analyst was analyzed…
If you reviewed Hachiman’s monologue after his sister left, you would see that Hachiman thinks his action is not self-sacrificing blah blah blah that is his own thought in the present story (ep5) that I understand that Hachiman is referring Hayama’s opinion in ep4. But if you look at his monologue as the deepest layer, you will see something, it’s the explanation about some truth that is not about the story and people in the story. I don’t think it’s good to pick the whole quote to this post so you can check LN v8 or other mediums. Please don’t forget that the trick is to see the deepest truth behind Hachiman’s monologue, ignore the present story, Hachiman, and his feeling so you can understand the feeling and even opinion toward us, the other people. The topic [Hachiman doesn’t want Yukino and Yuigahama to participate that student council election.] is how to use the student president election and Hachiman’s desire to cover the deepest layer. …Sigh.
Personally, I realized the worrying about something via Hachiman’s monologue. If you review Hachiman’s opinion by ignoring the present story, Hachiman, and his feeling, you will see the opinion toward us instead and calculating people’s feeling toward action.
And if I see Hachiman’s thought as not Hachiman’s, I don’t see how this will be the self-sacrificing. I think it’s not necessary to even think something like that because if the desire can be extinguished, no more work. Using [the previous event between Hachiman and Hayama in anime ss2 ep4] so that deepest layer that hides in their conversation at that time can blend with the present event (ep5) or Hachiman’s thought. …Hmmm.
If you are trying to find that deepest layer, I recommend you to ignore Hachiman’s worry at the next day because that is the present story, the emotion of characters are not necessary for finding that layer. Or I should say, it can be the obstacle. And I will tell you that Zaimokuza Yoshiteru (材木座 義輝)‘s opinions can be used to find that deepest layer too. Most info from this character are believable.
Miura Yumiko (三浦 優美子) is weird.
After I need to rewrite this post at the third time, I notice “something” that makes me notice another thing about Yumiko. Or I should say, Yumiko’s feeling toward Hayama’s behavior after the double date incident is strange. The moment that I think it’s strange is Hayama assists Yukino for the election despite Yukino and Yumiko are …, you know what I want to say. If he goes to help another cute girl, what will she feel? But she is not worried at all for some reason. So I will give you this notice. The notice [Hayama is doing the speech for Yukino] will be referred again in the next event, the meeting at the restaurant, I’m not sure this notice happens in anime though.
Actually, Hayama and Yumiko’ actions make me suspect their behaviors can reflect the future story of some characters too. After I found out the hidden truth, I can place my chip.
Especially, potato chips.
The meeting.
Now it’s the scene when Hachiman and Zaimokuza are discussing at the restaurant then Komachi, Totsuka Saika (戸塚 彩加), Kawasaki Saki (川崎 沙希), and her younger brother, Kawasaki Taishi (川崎 大志) (who didn’t appear in anime ep5) also join this meeting.

Komachi’s appearance
Komachi in her school uniform is another notice that made me doubt why her brother needs to describe [his sister wearing this student uniform]. I don’t say wearing this clothes is strange but describing her wearing this is strange. So this explanation interested me. If this day Hachiman goes to the school, why his sister will not wear this uniform? But if I see Komachi’s story can reflect Haruno who will be the one needs the studying in the future (??) (if you read this whole post, you will know what I mean), is it possible this is presenting “that person who will be …in the study mode” or something? I don’t know how to describe but from now on, “studying/learning/student/working” will be parts of that person.
Then Komachi invites more people, Totsuka and Saki, Taishi also comes.
Totsuka and Saki, the interesting people
Earlier, I never doubt why Totsuka and Saki join the meeting since I thought it’s good to have more people helping Hachiman. But after I saw so many reflections from other characters to realize Haruno’s truths, I began to wonder if Totsuka+Saki (and even Komachi) can reflect something about Haruno.
Of course, if I only summarize shortly like this, this idea alone would not make any sense. These two are not similar with Haruno… So I plan to write about Totsuka and if I am lucky, Saki too in the future.
I have no the solid evidence to prove this assumption but after I reviewed Hachiman’s meeting in ep5, I see “someone” gathered these two or three people (include Komachi too but exclude Taishi) that made me think that meeting is more important than I ever thought and that meeting can hide the deepest layer smoothly.
Why does Komachi bring Totsuka and Saki?
I don’t know but let’s see. Totsuka in Hachiman’s eyes never change. But when I believe that he and his story can reflect some point of view of Haruno or even the core, I feel that Hachiman’s attitude toward Totsuka’s charm is like the pattern, similar with his attitude toward other characters, his sister, Saki, and Haruno. At first, even myself doubt my own theory. But previously, Hachiman always sees this Onee-san as the enigma so his misunderstanding refrains his vision when he looks at her or I should say holding Hachiman’s thought toward her like this, would continue until the certain event will be launched. Huhuhu.
SO! Totsuka alone can’t reflect something about Haruno and the core but with other characters such as Komachi, Saki, Iroha, etc., they are like the network that point at the important things. For example, Hachiman’s attitude toward Totsuka is about his angel charm and his change that you would see how Totsuka changes, the tennis club member who wants to be better and becomes the club president. He is the star among the stars in milky way. The same go for Saki and Komachi.
That’s why although I can’t convince myself that Hachiman will look at her like Totsuka and Komachi’s case, I would expect in his changeable vision toward this beautiful and (“cute” in the future) Onee-san. I still don’t know all reasons Totsuka, Saki, Komachi, and even Taishi join this meeting but I think gathering them to the important meeting is reasonable. I suspect that if there are more characters, spreading the hidden truth, the different layer, and the core can be more effective. If you ever explored this meeting in v8, Totsuka doesn’t give the hidden info like Komachi and doesn’t give some info about Haruno’s feeling like Saki but he can serve the ball or pass in the conversation to the other people and even reflect something like the core.
However, I need to review this meeting over and over since they discuss so many things that can confuse me so easily since I didn’t read the story normally but read to find something that shocked me latterly.
Even Saki too. But since I will follow the story in v8, I will interpret about her later.
Taishi’s existence is interesting more than I think.
Since I found so much reflections from other girls to explain the girl’s truth, I also think even boys might be not outside this circle. For example, Taishi. Earlier, I NEVER thought he has some reflections since he hardly appears in the story. After I found out the deepest layer and the core, I looked at this character and realized that sometimes he and some of his story reflect the deepest layer and the core as the younger brother of Saki. If you can find them as I ever suggested, ignore things to find things, and you will see this boy and his life as someone who is not Saki’s brother because you would not see things as the story. The younger brother role or his relationship with that kind and cool girl is like the effective illusion that can cover the core or the meaning of his worry because he is separated from Saki and the scene when both of them go home together or something. And I don’t mean the forbidden love either. If you can’t ignore the present story and their relationship, you might argue to me because he would be worried about his sister so it’s normal to feel like that to his family member.
To sum it up, this is how I see this boy. I think his story is like another character, Hayama Hayato (葉山 隼人). I will not say Taishi can reflect something about Hayama but both of them are related to two kind and cool women. That means their pattern hides the core that is not about the story anymore.
The frequency of Saki’s action is suspicious.
This can’t see in anime. While I am reviewing the conversation between Saki and Hachiman in LN, I felt that “her stubbornness” occur many times after she joins the meeting. This unnecessary persistence interests me so I reviewed more and I also saw that Hachiman weakens her barrier and finally his last answer, [He needs it.], this makes her barrier vanishes and I can see the cute Saki. …So what? Is there anything wrong with their actions?
Actually not wrong! However, after I reviewed their conversation, I noticed that Hachiman’s answer holds something that I decided that it’s the core. In order to find what is the core, please ignore the present story and this is the conversation between Hachiman and Saki. But you can bring the feeling of Hachiman for the consideration.
Therefore, Hachiman’s analysis about Saki is interesting. Since the present situation is the meeting about keeping 2YY to not become the president so you can see that Hachiman thinks that Saki can give some good reference because she has some amount of distance between 2YY. But in the reflection or the hidden truth, I will say that his opinion toward Saki reflects the same thing about Haruno who also has some good amount distance between those two.
The student council election = the love election!?
Now I will reveal the hidden meaning of this election that my topic would surprise you. It appears that this selection, the candidate are the metaphors. If I’m not wrong, Komachi is the one who made me realize this truth.
After I reviewed Komachi’s opinions and others’, I feel the abnormality in one of Komachi’s opinions. I don’t see why half of the girls in her middle school will be her enemy. I mean, she is working in the student council but I don’t see why girls in that degree will be interested of that job or the reputation she got to the point they are her enemy. It’s not weird if she will has some enemies but I don’t see how “the half of girls in her school” can be her rivals. After I saw this abnormality, I explored her opinions. It seems the hidden truths and the deepest layer behind her opinions are something completely different, not the school council job or president election anymore. I will extract some clues from the interview between Hachiman and Komachi to reveal the hidden truth or the future story first. ⇓

“I won with a vote of confidence.”
“election strategy”
“Before I announced my candidacy, I would declare ‘I’m going to do it’ on a regular basis.”Although it wasn’t exactly the concept of victory going to the one who made the first move, if you went ahead and limited the other party’s ability to act, even if there were other people who wanted to do it, they might hesitate.
“Also… Boys might have an advantage at times like these. Well, this only applies to popular and reliable boys though.”
“It might be a bit hard for guys to vote for a girl. If it’s middle school, that kind of atmosphere might be prevalent.”“In the case of girls, you make an enemy of half of the girl population.”
And we got more metaphors such as “declare” and “the vote of confidence”. Sigh. Work can create more work. First, I suggest you not see this as the student president election but another competition. Well, since Oregairu is Romcom (yes, romcom 100%), this is…
- The love election – You will see “that person” who is the avatar of Komachi and you would know about the storm in the future. This is like the interview that Komachi’s answers and Hachiman’s thoughts above are trust worthy.
- The vote of confidence is the metaphor too. I don’t know how to explain its meaning but if this is the love fight, the feeling of the boy will judge this competition if I follow the info above and the girl who gets this feeling that you would know what it is, will be the winner. This is the meaning of this simile.
- About “boys”… please don’t TL boys as boys directly the male character(s). At first,
I ever thought this is Hayama since he is popular and reliable.But after I reviewed Komachi’s opinions and others’ ideas after that, I can’t see why girls will become the tigers to win him (sorry, Hayama). So you would know which character I am referring. It’s Zaim-, umm, Hachiman is the one who is as his younger sister described, you see. Because Komachi who is the reflection of Haruno, describes about boys like that.
For example, you can see that boys are the advantage at times like this student council election and this Komachi’s opinion will make most readers think boys will get the better chance to be the student president. But for this love battle and my own experience after reviewed v8 so many times, “candidates” can’t be boys but girls. The candidates are girls so boys can’t be the candidate but people who can give the vote to their favorite candidate, you see.
And if this is Hayama, yes, this boy is popular and reliable but I don’t see why he is popular in Haruno, Yukino and Yuigahama’ eyes. And this is the meaning of another metaphor, half of the girl population will be the enemies. …Whoa. I think I hear thunder and I think that is more than half! - The question is why it’s hard for guys to vote for a girl? Of course that “boys” is not “boys” but Hachiman. If you look at the last line of the interview above, you will understand his situation in the future if there will be “that election”. The position where is like sitting in the fiery and cold war.
- Zaimokusa’s idea after Komachi’s opinions, [The ‘Two Tigers Becoming Enemies’ strategy!] helps me understand “that half of the girl population” more or less.
I ever thought that there are two girls who will be the candidates of this fight because I believed in Zaimokuza’s strategy and that half of girl population. Therefore, these two girls show their feelings toward each other clearly at the beginning. But after I reviewed LNs, although I realize Yukino’s feeling toward this popular and reliable guy, I think she might become the candidate too.
Drama cd 7 (We will… We will Rock “You”!!)
Actually, if you want to know the vote result, you can read Drama CD v7 or LN v6. I can’t remember the name of that fighto that Komachi is the announcer, something like InuNeko Fighto? In the end, Hachiman and Zaimokuza vote for…
ps. His answer is a metaphor.
Hachiman and Totsuka’ opinions also support this possibility. However, Totsuka’s notion [we’d get Yukinoshita-san and Yuigahama-san to fight?] is interesting to analyze. See? This is one of many examples that shows how Totsuka and others pass on the info that hides and spread pieces of the hidden truth, the deepest layer, and the core.
If Hachiman says “I love 2D girls.”, the war would end instantly with the status “seal” for those three.
How to use cards
If you review their conversation after the interview between Hikigaya siblings, you might see that problem is the serious one but I don’t think so. As I ever told you that there are the hidden truths via characters’ thoughts so after I reviewed the scene when everyone except Saki, are discussing this problem seriously, I found out that someone “melts” this problem with so many tricks such as…
- explaining the proxy war by Hikigaya siblings.
- Zaimokuza announces “Empty Castle strategy” but his idea is ignored by Taishi. If we explore his strategy, this strategy will explain how the opponent will decide.
- Taishi suggests having someone else to be the candidate but Hachiman says if that person is not the same level as 2YYs, that would not work.
- Suggesting Chiri***** by Komachi again but concludes later that it’s difficult.
- until ends up with Saki‘s opinion [Who will be the president if 2YYs will not doing it?] that is like closing this issue.
…Sigh. Do you see how characters pass in the ball? If I show the card “I love 2D girls”, this hidden truth will be wiped out? No, I guess.
If you really follow their discussion for real or even don’t know there are layers in their conversation, you will not notice that this discussion in the present world is like the trap, even analyzing that illusion wrongly is also the trap (but maybe analyzing that illusion wrongly is my own mistake but it helped me to close up the most possible truths)! The tricks to see the hidden truth are…
- You don’t need to read their discussion as the serious one but look at it as the new layer.
- Sometimes, we need to Ignore everyone’s emotions.
- Forget about the present story.
I ever thought that the hidden truth is Hayama’s future plan. But because of my own mistake, I can realize the new view via my own action. If I was not lost in this forest, I can’t reach this point.
Proxy war?
However, although I told you to not see things seriously so you will not walk the wrong path as me, I suggested like that because I ever misunderstood that half of this meeting is discussing Hayama’s operation mostly. But after I discovered the hidden truth, I tried to explore their discussion again and there are many things that I should not ignore. For example… ⇓
if everyone gets too heated up, then a proxy war would start and that’ll end up influencing things down the road…”

those two taking unnecessary damage was out of the question.

The hints “true/seriously” appear so many times… I believe that the war would happen but I don’t believe in the severity of this situation. If you explore v8 or continue to read my post until the end, you will see how the proxy war is one of concept. If you want to know more about this concept for Oregairu’s case, I recommend manga @Comic v8 or LN v6.5 that is about the sport festival. Hachiman explains about this proxy war and more info. I also recommend you focus at that more info because it’s one of concept that is “destroying each other”. I will suggest again that you don’t need to be worried about this concept too since it doesn’t mean girls will … for real and I hope the quote above will not worry you either. This concept is about …the factor that brings the result.
Moreover, the word, “Yukinoshita”… (Gulp!). At first, I thought Yumiko will get involved with this matter because she would side with Yuigahama and I thought more that Yukino would cover her big sis or something. But it’s also possible that this is explaining about Yukinoshita sisters more than Yumiko and Yukino. Because I switched Yumiko to Yukino since I believe that she and her story can reflect something about Yukino too. So after I did that, I also think that “Yukinoshita” would mean Yukinoshita senior. My second assumption happened because I escaped from the illusion in my mind, the seriousness of the proxy war and destroying each other.
Of course that even my latest assumption can be wrong so feel free to find your own answer.
Which Yukinoshita will be the answer?, つづく. But the fusion between ice and fire might become Medr**.
No matter my analyzing will be correct but I still don’t believe in the severity of the war. Even so, the important info from their suggestions still pour down this post to make me realize more interesting clues. Now it’s Zaimokusa and Taishi’ turn.
The big shot
After Taishi presented some idea, Hachiman’s opinion toward this boy is interesting.
You’re amazing, Taishi. You completely ignored Zaimokuza right there. Not to mention, he contributed his opinion despite being a complete outsider. This guy might be a big shot, surprisingly.
It’s up to you that you will see this as the hidden truth or the core. If you ignore the present story and Taishi, you might see the core, who is the big shot, a complete outsider and contributes the opinion.
Honestly speaking, the only one who could pull votes from those two would be
Hayama(Hachiman). [Lucky for Yukinoshita’s side] while [the girl group of Hayama (Hachiman) was on Yuigahama’s side.] Any other candidate wouldn’t be able to butt in at all.
Each analyzing of mine, I got a different result so I would not decode this that much. But I would not see this quote as the direct meaning so I switched Hayama to Hachiman. Because I don’t see how Hayama can pull votes from those two (who I think they are Yukinoshita sisters). Imagine Hachiman can pull votes from them… I will tell you first that you must not see him as another candidate because if I’m not wrong, girls will be candidates, boy will give the vote. If you don’t decode the next sentence as the direct meaning or you can try to switch names, you will see the hidden truth.
Those three will be the only candidates!
If we kept Yukinoshita and Yuigahama from becoming the student council president, then it would fall onto Isshiki (another woman).
That’s not good.As long those three were the only candidates, one of them would have to take up the role.
If you switch Isshiki’s name to a certain character, you will see how Komachi’s agent and her half of girls population. As I thought, the card, “I love 2D girls” is the solution. I ignore Hachiman’s worry [That’s not good] because it is an unnecessary opinion because Hachiman’s worry or his present feeling can hide this hidden truth effectively.
Our last stand
This strategy can be the metaphor/concept. While Hachiman is backed into a corner because he spots another problem [if 2YYs will not do it, who will become the president?]. But since I look for the hidden truth and more, I tested the experiment by ignoring Hachiman’s feeling. Now we reach the scene when Hachiman decides to eliminate every reasons that make Iroha not want to become the president and negotiate with her. After I reviewed this meeting and the next event, the conversation between Hachiman and Iroha, I recommend you to not believe the present story as the only truth. How he will eliminate those reasons during the negotiation is what shocked me because that’s the place where I discovered the core for the first time. But it is not the time to write about this.
Zaimokuza’s feeling toward Hachiman [Iroha is a girl, will she listen to him?] interests me. At first, I don’t think his worry will give me any info so I didn’t try to consider it. But after I found out that core at the library event, I rewrote this post again and thought that his worry has some significance. In order to find out why his feeling is important, you can find the core of Hachiman and Iroha’ conversation as I will suggest later when I reach that event in this post and return to consider his emotion at this meeting again. Whoa… this truth. Well, and Hachiman asks Saki to enlist people who might make a good student council president. At first, I tested with the various assumptions of mine to find the hidden truths behind this list. But my old assumptions were not consistent so I read something that is like the answer. ⇓
Hachiman: Anyway, the pieces were all mostly gathered. I verified each piece one by one.
“Hayama, Ebina-san, Miura, Sagami, and while we’re at it, Tobe. Also, Isshiki. We’ll have these guys become candidates.”
If you see as the present story, you would Hachiman gathers most pieces to negotiate Irohasu. But if you see this quote to find the hidden truth, you will see how the future story is established but I will not say these characters will participate the election because I experienced many times that I should not TL these characters as the direct meaning instantly. You will see how things will be. But if you want to find the core of this quote, as I always suggest, ignore the story, Hachiman who is the creator of this plan. If you can do it, you can find the core or how this strategy is going to be established.
Now I will show you the hidden truth that is about the story but not the present story. ⇓

- The objective of this plan is this group or these characters might be the metaphors of a certain group that will go against Iroha’s agent (Iroha is the metaphor of the future story and she is not the metaphor for this present story in ep5), Haruno as the hidden truth of this quote, is not for just fight her but for another similar thing that you would notice the hidden meaning of some similar hints in this meeting. - I notice that every comments about each candidates from Saki have some hidden truths. Also, Hachiman’s thoughts toward each candidate can be used as references.
- The important thing I want to tell you before you will read the next assumption is I noticed that Saki who gives various opinions about all hidden candidates and boys, is the reflection of that female character’s future story with various point of view. So I realized after read Saki’s opinions and Hachiman’s thoughts that about Haruno’s truth toward each important characters/reflections.
- Yukino and Yuigahama also were mentioned by Saki but Hachiman is the one who tells me something in the quote below. ⇓ If you see their amassing endorsements as the present story, you don’t need my explanation but if we see this info as the hidden truth or the certain future election, you can bring their closeness with Hachiman as the hidden meaning of their gathering the endorsements.
Well, that was pretty reasonable. Yukinoshita and Yuigahama were probably beginning to amass endorsements so from the idea I was thinking right now, they were an exception.
What I am surprised is how enlisting the list or the conversation between Saki and Hachiman can cover the future plan. I mean, the present story of Yukino and Yuigahama [gatering the endorsements for the student council election] can blend with the future story and even hides the deepest layer that is hidden in the quote above smoothly. ⇑ …Whoa. If you want to find that layer, you need to ignore this is Hachiman’s idea.
The significance of his nasty – Saki describes about Hayama’s aura shortly but I feel that her opinion about his aura would reflect the correct truth about him and even the feeling of Saki’s agent. This character will act as the good person to make things more difficult.- Ebina – At first, I had no clue to interpret Saki’s opinion and Hachiman’s opinion about this candidate. So I “switched” other characters who might be Ebina’s reflection and I finally found one! Ebina in this case is reflection of Yuigahama! What!? You would be confused after you saw this name and might even not know how Yuigahama can be her reflection. So in order to see their reflection, I will interpret this quote to let you see the hidden truths by SakiSaki and Haruno’s truth toward Yuigahama by Hikitani-kun’s description. ⇓

Just this interpreting that Ebina is the reflection of Yuigahama alone would not be reasonable. But I interpret like this because I reviewed all opinions of Saki toward all characters. So I will show you how I used the same method to other characters. ⇓
Yumiko – I can use the same methods to this character too since I will say that she is the reflection of someone you would know who, Yukino!

Hachiman: They (Saki & Yumiko ⇒ Yukinoshita sisters)’re on such bad terms. But the fact that she mentioned her name meant she was conscious of her, huh?
You would understand their situation very well and how the senior is conscious of the junior, wouldn’t you? …But YukixYumi? Their names are similar for some reason, aren’t they? But what to do if Uke meets Uke? Anyway, do you see using Saki’s idea (mentions Yumiko’s name) to hide the situation between this sisters and Haruno’s feelings toward her little sister?
- Sagami Minami (相模 南) – This is the deeeeeeeeeperapu and unbelievable interpretation of mine toward Haruno’s protagonist issue. I think this hidden meaning will shock you for sure. I will reveal that Sagami in this case, is the reflection of …….Haruno! Jang!
Saki: “What? What’s with that unpleasant face of yours? You’re the one who asked.”

Does this haunt you?- I am not sure to interpret the second grade, the first and the third years though but they don’t mean the direct meanings for sure. Maybe these metaphors exist to explain that “the second years” is the closest person/people so the first & third years who are not closer than the second years, would be people who are kinda distant from person/people in the first category, maybe? Personally, if I need to point who are the first grade and the third grade, that would be Yukino and Yuigahama while Hachiman who would be the reflection of “the second grade”. What surprised me is how to use Hachiman’s feeling [he can’t believe that Sagami has some potential for gathering endorsements for Irohasu because her history can’t make him think of her] in the present story to hide this hidden future truth about Haruno, the true dark horse and how three people close to her will feel in the future. …Whoa! - The last clues are about [using Sagami and Tobe would not hurt at all]. I found out how that connecting [the previous phase] and [the next phase] so he can “place” the next phase to this issue – Haruno’s antagonists and allies. I will show you how things happened.

ps. Time to imagine another Yuri! I don’t mind to see HaruxMina descend to the world. Just imagining this pairing got me some headache but I don’t care! Will anyone dare to write this forbidden fanfic?

If you see their talk as the present story, it’s normal most students such as Hachiman would not get the endorsements that much but if you see this as the hidden truth, using the present election to hide Hachiman’s future truth toward the future election… Also, the lovely moment between Saki and Hachiman can cover this announcement.
To sum it up, Hayama, Ebina, Yumiko, Sagami, and Tobe, people who Hachiman collects their names but he excludes Yukinoshita and Yuigahama significantly. Even excluding Hachiman from the list has some important meaning. If you look at the present story only, it’s normal to exclude his name from the list because Hachiman needs the popular people for his plan. But if you look at this filtering Hachiman from the list as the hidden truth, you will see how Saki mentions his name but excluding him from the list later is suspicious. How is it suspicious? If you continue to read v8 or my post, you will see the hidden truth or Hachiman’s position later. And if you look at the true meaning of his position and the true meaning of negotiating Iroha that are the core that is not about the story, you will see the existence of the core automatically.
If you continue to read Hachiman’s opinion after Saki gathered the list, he also mentions Isshiki‘s name but he says these people [Hayama, Ebina, Yumiko, Sagami, and Tobe] will be like the stalking horses who will go against Isshiki’s agent. I don’t forget my own assumptions about Ebina (Yuigahama), Yumiko (Yukino), and Sagami (Haruno) because Hachiman’s opinions toward them (especially, Sagami) are not the common ideas. But his next opinion [Hayama, Ebina, Yumiko, Sagami, and Tobe will be like the stalking horses who will go against Isshiki.] is important too so I think these 5 people might be the different topic from my assumptions toward 3 girls.
Even if Hachiman is talking about the one topic that is his own plan to negotiate Iroha so he can solve this problem, I will not let this plan with so much detail and most info that they deceived me so many times, convince me to be flown and surrender by the core. The more I got mistakes, the more I find the road for the exit. That’s why I write this post and share it to you. My reason to write this post expands but it doesn’t exist because I want you to praise me or something fragile. Because I am just an analyst level 1 so I tried to gather results as much as I can and found out the best solution. This post is not that best solution since I saw it as “one step” that is understanding the core. Understand it will help you find your own best solution because I believe someone, somewhere in this world will find the exit that can escape out of this circle of the core. I hope my post can be the tool for you because I believe in your potential. It’s fine if you don’t understand what I want to say and I don’t know what you got will be the same as mine because I ever misunderstood so many times but if you don’t give up to find the core as I ever suggested and check that answer over and over, I believe you will reach the exit by your own effort.

11. The reason to gather characters.
Komachi: “Eh? Weren’t you going to have that Isshiki-san (Haruno) person be the candidate?”
Hachiman: “Yeah, in the end, that is. Well, it’s basically a stalking horse, something like putting up a fight, of the sort against (Haruno).”
Well, there was actually another objective beyond that, but it’s probably better to explain that little by little. Komachi looked like she wouldn’t be entirely convinced with just this, so I may have to do this step by step.
“Stalking horse… I wonder if there’d be anyone willing to do that… Actually, onii-chan, are you going to ask someone to do that?”

I chose one of the conversation between Hachiman and Totsuka because their whole talk would has some important truth as usual. But this is another suspicious clue. It’s not like asking his name is strange because Totsuka is the popular one but since I suspect if there is the core, the feeling behind this moment, it appears that there is. What I doubt is Hachiman’s response. If you ignore this present election and characters, you will see the core that is the same feeling.
Borrowing name.
After I reviewed Hikigaya sibling’ conversation after the talk between Totsuka and him, I noticed that connecting some situations, [borrowing the name], [the notice for announcing Isshiki’s candidacy in anime ss2 ep3], and [the discomfort of people toward the endorsement], also adjusted words to hide the core but they still point at just one core. Sigh…
YB: This is my expression after witnessed the forbidden afterimages.
I always doubt the meaning of borrowing the name. I don’t wonder about Hachiman’s action toward the present story because it’s simple to understand but my wonder is in the level of the deepest layer and the core. But after I reviewed more, I finally understand that it’s not about candidates in the story anymore. Or I should say I realize the purpose of borrowing name. Ignore the present story and characters but read the info of the story as the plain text carefully is the way I found it. After I realize that purpose, I finally understand the deepest layer behind Komachi’s question [Although you can borrow name, if is rejected in the end, it counts as didn’t participate?]. If I don’t know the core, I don’t know the true meaning of her question and other things after this too.

Metaphors confuses me to find the deepest layer and the core.
After I found out the deepest layer and the core in the conversation between Hachiman and Iroha at the library, I use those info to check the info during this meeting. It’s difficult to find the deepest layer and the core in the info below because I still can see this as the hidden truth (that I don’t think like this anymore) but I can give you how to check the answer if you found the layer and core already. Ignore metaphors, the present story, characters but if you know the layer and the core, you will understand the true meaning of these metaphors as the next result. ⇓
Hachiman: “It’s fine if they don’t announce their candidacy. Rather, it’s not necessary. It’s sufficient enough to just get the endorsements we need.”

I will say first that I’m not talking about characters in the story in this case. It’s the concept.

This was extremely easygoing, but for the most part, this should act as a deterrent to those two. But since this was just a simple deterrent, it wouldn’t become something decisive.

At first, I understood that Hachiman’s description above only is nothing more than just stalling for time and so he needs one more move. But I thought like that because I didn’t find out the core yet. After I found it, I realized later that I was tricked by so many info because all info before this quote ⇑ and most info after this quote, is the one topic/plan. This plan can stall for time and it doesn’t need one more move because this move is how to gather the endorsements truly. Even the name “one more move” can deceive me. This plan is the deepest layer. I think you would know how to read it. This is not about Yukino and Yuigahama anymore although the present story is like that. Feel free to try changing the pronoun that I crossed a line.
Something similar with T*itter.

In the present situation, Hachiman refers to the app, T*itter but in the case of the deepest layer, I am sure that “something not human” is not the app but it’s not human for real. It’s something similar because it can “post” info to other people, I don’t mean it’s the blog though.

If you found out the plan or the deepest layer that exists for changing “that decision”, you will understand why the fictional character can collect endorsements. Actually, the explanation about this social app and more info after are like the important hot spot that can help you understand about something similar with this communication tool. T*itter, accounts, posts, followers, spreading the posts to others, etc. Ignore the present story, Hachiman to find the truth.
True but not quite.

If you believe that even accounts are the metaphors, you will understand about followers and how it’s normal for girls to follow. If I read Hachiman’s explanation as the present story, I understand that girls would click follow if their friends suggest or something. But as the hidden truth, this is something different and it’s not about girls in the school or that social app. “Follow” is like “like or interested”. After I followed that account, what I’m interested will flow in my life.
Username and post
I’m lazy to bring the quote so you can read v8. To tell you the truth, before I found out the core, I misunderstood about the design of username and its post of Hachiman. But after I know that core, now I understand the existence of those accounts that it appears that it’s not the accounts but something similar and the meaning of their posts that is similar but not quite (at least, it’s not the short text definitely). If you want to try something, you can imagine some character to that account that will collect the endorsement.
If you continue to read Hachiman’s explanation about how he will do with the account, you might notice something. Don’t forget there are many similes.
The existence of something that is similar to the social app and accounts is to negotiate Iroha. In case you forgot, Hachiman brings the social app to collect the endorsement so he can eliminate all reasons Iroha doesn’t want to be the president.
However, the finishing touch, “the sentence”.
The conversation between Hachiman and Zaimokuza also reflects something.

The reflections in Irohasu’s classroom
After I checked the story [Hachiman goes to Iroha’s classroom – Iroha decides to go to the library with him], I tried the experiment by looking her as Haruno’s story.
- Her manner with her friends in the back of the classroom near the window. – this image makes me imagine the similar view about Haruno.
- When he asks one of three boys in that room to call her, I feel that these three boys is like the reflection of those three who get involved with Haruno too. I think you can guess who are the reflection of [the glasses boy who goes to call Iroha] & [the other two who are whispering to each other].
Now from now on is some interesting hidden info between Hachiman and Haruno. Please don’t see it as the plain story because there are many metaphors waiting for you but see it as the info. Even this paper sheet Hachiman is the sign of the endorsements.

There are many times I misunderstood about her rejection so I will not say that my latest assumption is correct. I will not say what it is but I will tell you how to read the core of behind these info. ⇓

- You don’t need to switch any characters.
- Forget her speed talking and …comedy.

After that, Hachiman’s lonnnnnnnnnnng monologue about Iroha connects with the next info. ⇓
Therefore, hates the vote of confidence itself. It’s because this style called the vote of confidence might damage her brand image. Nothing is more unpleasant than the predictable victorious fight too. Then, although stuff like that went out, her stock will not go up.

I mean, when I read Hachiman’s long analyzing about Iroha and continue to read the conclusion of that analysis or the quote above, I understand that she doesn’t like that vote of confidence because of the info Hachiman explains. I will not judge the present story because that is not what I’m interested but I am interested how his analyzing connects with the quote. The reason why I’m curious because the quote above is not related with his analyzing but it’s something different that is the deepest layer. Then, the reason why this happened? To cover the truth. This is how to insert a concept that is the deepest layer of the quote above. This layer is not about Iroha and the present story anymore. I mean, if I see these two info as the deepest layer, I don’t think the quote is not her thought. Actually, I have one more thought too but I would not say it but I will tell you how to find that deepest layer.
How to read the core
- Ignore the present story, their conversation, Hachiman and Iroha.
- This is not Irohasu’s dislike toward the vote of confidence.
- The vote of confidence is the metaphor as always but her brand image might be not.
- The predictable victorious fight is the metaphor too but it’s possibility that is not possible already, I assume. “Her stock will not go up” is not the metaphor.
And about the hidden truth… If you read the quote above as some plan of the story. If you read that quote as a plan for Haruno, you will see arranging her predictable victorious fight would not make her stock go up.
Her train of thought might have been very similar to that of a manager in charge of a conservatively stubborn enterprise.
And he picked Hachiman’s opinion toward Iroha to cover the previous quote? …Sigh.
“Well even if you did do all the work here, either Yukinoshita or Yuigahama is going to win anyway. In that sense, this is pointless… Whatever you do Isshiki, you can’t win against those two.”
If you found out about T*itter and accounts, you will know how to use them to make the fight to another level. This quote above is just how to explain the deepest layer step by step.

And I will collect info 1-2 together to see how it should be. I …feel and feel only that Hachiman’s explanation describes the future situation of Haruno and others. So I decided to switch Hayama to Hachiman and Miura as Yukino in these info because it seems that their conversation (Hachiman & Iroha) focuses at Haruno’s story/situation.
My objective to change the name is to find the most consistent situation. I don’t know if I interpret correctly but my experiment shows how the future story is the serious one. And if I switched Hayama to Hachiman, I can explain about this keyword, “childhood friends”. This keyword explains how Hachiman and Yukino are something similar with that metaphor.
But please return to this the essay again and see it as the normal essay so we will not be succumbed to those info. Actually, if you explore their conversation until the end in v8, you don’t need to read this post anymore but there is more interesting info to analyze.

You might be confused why I wrote the topic like this. After I TLed and considered Hachiman’s description about the feeling of Iroha’s friends that he intends to urge her for his own plan to convince her to be the president…, I feel that I fell into the trap that someone dug. If I need to explain, I misunderstood that Hachiman is explaining their amusement but I was wrong… or correct if I see his words as the present story. I am still wrong if I try to see it as the hidden truth. After I TLed this quote and my own assumption [her friends are the metaphor or the illusion], the quote below is the difficult one. So I decided to look for the meaning of this quote.

Using Iroha’s situation or Hachiman’s description about her friend to reveal something about someone. I ever understood that this is an explanation about Hayama.
- If we interpret the first line of Info 4, we can see it as various views. People might think it’s because Iroha’s outstanding so she got that, they might think more that it’s this is the explanation about her friends. For me, if I “bend” the first line, yes, I would think as Iroha being conspicuous in a bad way in her friends’ eyes so it’s her picture to say. But it’s still …inconsistent for some reason after I read the last line of Info 5. I didn’t understand the meaning of [get the best result by preparing people]. So I suspect that it might be something different.
- “To look down” Isshiki but the Japanese word can interpret as diminish and etc too. Hmmm… Using the word that makes us interpret that they bully Iroha but the hidden truth is “to diminish” another one, to cause her some discomfort.
ps. My TLing is not for TLing the totally correct words but to find the core only. Forgive me if I misinterpret.
After I reviewed these info again, I think this can be the hidden truth and the deepest layer. The deepest layer in Info 4 is …, you need to read it as the plain text and ignore the present story, Iroha, and her situation. The hidden truth of Info 5 might be the plan to do that to Iroha’s agent by doing …like that. The deepest layer of this info can be read by ignoring the present story, Iroha and read it as the plain text. You will find something that is not about the story.
The factor that decides this election.
Do you still remember when I wrote about gathering many endorsements to change the decision? When Hachiman shows this paper sheet to Iroha, this is the deepest layer or how to change the decision with the new endorsements and change the fact about the previous endorsements in order to “win”. “Win” in this case, is not Iroha wins or Haruno wins in the level of the deepest layer since it’s not about the story. “Win” is the core.
The conclusion of their talk
Since I see their talk as the essay, this means we reach the conclusion of the essay of the hidden truth, the deepest layer, and the core. …Baaaa.

When I was reading this Hachiman’s opinion when he comes to talk to Yukino and Yuigahama after he convinced Iroha, I have two opinions.
Of course, there may have been some followers who noticed the updated display name.
- The first and old assumption is I ever thought there is a character who ever copied Hachiman’s method. I will not say that character will copy this method for sure but the only thing I can do is praying that character will not copy Hachiman’s unpleasant way for his own scheme in the future.
- Since I interpret the present story to find anything, I am surprised the fact behind this Hachiman’s thought because this might refer to some followers in the real world or I will reveal that one of these followers would be…someone and you too? The moment this idea occurred in my head, I can’t believe in this latest assumption. Yeah… Noticing the updated display name of accounts to the only one. I never dream that writing analysis will make me realize that there is another analyst and that person is aware of the possibility that someone might notice his plan. …Whoa. Oh. So “the followers” in this case would mean people who are following some story.
I hope my first assumption this time will be wrong as I wish!
The truths “behind” the second Irohasu’s rejections.
ps. Since the scene when Iroha is going to start the council president’s job in v8 and anime are different in some points so I will use v8 as the reference.
Since Iroha is worried about the future because she chose the difficult path that she never do it before.
“…Next year, my sister’s going to enroll here.”
“So make it a good school.”
At first, I thought he is referring his sister, Komachi but after I read the essay above or that love issue, I think Hachiman’s words are kind of weird. I mean, I don’t see how Komachi will be involved with this matter and even that essay. That’s why I start to think “my sister” that Hachiman mentions is not Komachi but this because after I reviewed this quote as the deepest layer, I realized that “my sister” is the metaphor again, the sign of someone. But I will tell you that the deepest layer is not about the story.
The meaning of the second rejection.
“What are you doing? Are you making passes at me? I’m sorry, you’re aiming too high. It’s creepy too and not possible.”
If you want to find out the meaning of her rejection, I would suggest as I did. Ignore the comedy, her reaction, Hachiman, and the present event.
The first step of the president – The first-year student president & “football club” manager
When Iroha invites him to see her student council room, this might reflect how “that person” allows him to see how she will change things to be “the president” or not… Remodeling that room also reflects how she will do whatever she wants?
Decoding the president & 4 people.
To read this topic, I recommend you to read LN v8 because this event above was not created in anime Oregairu Zoku.
Now Tobe is my special quest because he ever showed me Hayama’s feeling toward his crush in my previous post.
When the kouhai and senpai arrive at the school council room, Tobe Kakeru (戸部 翔) is helping his cute kouhai carry things. In this event, I think Iroha’s responses are kinda weird for some reason. And she is like that many times. While I am reading v8, I notice another thing. Each time Tobe-senpai asks his kouhai, have some similarity. Even each Hachiman’s answer during this event is the same…
The pattern
Tobe asks about the refrigerator.
Iroha doesn’t respond.
Hachiman: “Isshiki, is that a good idea?”
I faced back to Isshiki to ask her and Isshiki energetically answered.
Iroha: “Well, it’s going to be my room starting from today after all. Of course, I’d want to be a little picky about these things—!”
Hachiman: “Ah, I see…”
Tobe asks about the halogen heater.
Iroha doesn’t respond.
Hachiman: “Isshiki, is that a good idea?”
I asked Isshiki again and Isshiki squeezed her hands together to warm it up.
Iroha: “I’m really sensitive to the cold, you know—?”
Hachiman: “Ah, I see…”
Tobe says the name “Hayato-kun”.
Tobe: “Are ya serious? Seriously, if Hayato-kun doesn’t get here quick, I’m gonna go nuts.”
As we held that barebones conversation, Isshiki barged in.
“Ah, Tobe-senpai. The refrigerator doesn’t go there. It should go farther in. Also, the heater should be next to the table.”
Do you see the pattern from three bold and colored words above? This time, I can’t believe choosing these two symbols to specify “those two persons” like that… sigh. However, if the [refrigerator], [heater], [Hayato-kun] and [how Iroha’s responses toward these two objects and Hayama] are related, then this means this story reflects how this president, will react to Yukinoshita Yukino (雪ノ下 雪乃), Yuigahama Yui (由比ヶ浜 結衣) and Hayato or not?
For this analysis, decoding how Haruno needs her younger sister and Yuigahama is not difficult. But the most difficult thing is analyzing “Hayato-kun”. I mean, do I need to switch Hayama to Hachiman again or not or I can hold that name?
The moment Iroha hears the name, “Hayato-kun”, her response is also weird and mysterious but if you notice this clue, you will see her response is totally different from refrigerator and heater’ cases for some reason. However, I still didn’t know about Hayama or Hachiman so I reviewed LN until I found out the answer by reading these. ⇓
“Are ya serious? Seriously, if Hayato-kun doesn’t get here quick, I’m gonna go nuts.”
As we held that barebones conversation, Isshiki barged in.
“Ah, Tobe-senpai. The refrigerator doesn’t go there. It should go farther in. Also, the heater should be next to the table.”
Tobe’s face cramped up. Isshiki smiled as she said “Please.” and Tobe dragged himself back to work.
Seeing him (Tobe) off, Isshiki turned around to me and spoke as if the thought just came to mind at that instant.
“Ah, senpai should help out too!”
“Iya…”
If you consider two bold words and the underlined words, you will see Iroha’s reactions toward two characters, Hayato-kun and her senpai. In this case, I can tell that [refrigerator, heater, Hayato-kun, senpai and how “that president” will react or think toward them] are “the whole pattern” or the true meaning. Whoa!
Using the refrigerator this time reminds me the scene when Komachi looks at the refrigerator that I ever mentioned at the beginning of this post.
If you want to know how she needs Yukino and Yuigahama, you can read how Iroha tells Hachiman about the refrigerator and heater. ⇑ I will tell you first that I don’t mean Haruno sees them as objects but those objects are like the signs or similes. For “Hayato-kun” and “senpai”, are not the simile but we can see how Haruno thinks and interact with both of them. If you review how Irohasu treats Tobe-senpai, I mean, you will see how Haruno might act something similar or feel something similar to Tobe’s twin.
The important point of view from Shiromeguri Meguri (城廻 めぐり).
Hachiman met the former president Meguri and saw she was moving her personal things so he volunteered to help but he realizes later that those things are heavy more than he thought. This moment when he receives that heavy box from her is how to show Hachiman will encounter something similar, something like the burden because I believe that he will be going to help that a future president. This is the hidden truth in my opinion.
To tell you the truth, I ever felt that the scene when Hachiman is feeling the overweight Shiromeguri’s box is …kinda weird. I mean, why did they need to present the weight of that box or Hachiman’s feeling toward that box? I thought it’s not necessary to present this moment but it’s not anything bad either so I stopped to think about it. But after I trailed Iroha’s story to find Haruno’s truth, I finally understand why this short moment is important.
Actually, I feel that there is the core at this moment too but it’s too transparent. If you find the core from somewhere in v8, you would begin to notice another core behind this scene automatically or this is my own experience. However, I can tell you that the core at this moment is the imagination from somewhere, it’s similar with this scene but it’s still the imagination.
And the last notice is Meguri tells about her dream that she hopes Yukino will be the president and she will visit to them (Yuigahama is the vice and Hachiman is …I forgot but some position) and that would be fun or something. Her imagination worries Hachiman because he might do some mistake. This scene is interesting for me because there is the hidden truth, how that person would have fun with those three.
Imagine Meguri’s agent or angel with the trio.
But I also feel the core in her dream and Hachiman’s monologue after he heard her dream. After I found the core from somewhere and reviewed their thoughts again, I think this is not about the story but it’s still the dream, the dream that ended already can’t do anything. I don’t think you should find the core here if you don’t find it from somewhere yet. But if you found it from the other places, you can filter the core here by ignoring the characters (Yukino and Yuigahama in her dream too), the present event, and read Meguri and Hachiman’ thoughts as one character. The core is not about Hachiman’s worry because he did something wrong to Yukino anymore.

As always, although I believe that these pieces of information I found are not something random or coincidence, the certainty of this world is the uncertainty. I recommend you to not believe my analysis as the absolute truth but find the conclusion by your own effort, it is the besta way to achieve something important. But if you want to believe in my work, I still recommend you to provide some space in your mind. This is how I always do so I can be fine if things are not as I expect.

Well I’m definitely not happy with the ending.
The author had so many opportunities to finish the title unexpectedly, to bring something new to the genre … As a result, we have… another tsundere/kuudere? That’s what he was aiming for? Why not to reveal in detail the relationships of the Hayama / Haruno / Yukino trio, their past? (Yeah, partially it is clear, but still there are some points that could be revealed, concentrated on. At least this would have been much more interesting, than “hey tsundere/kuudere i want to be next to you”) Why not to reveal Haruno’s complex relationship with her mother? In fact, it was Haruno who suffered much more than Yukino. Nevertheless, Yukino is shown to us to a greater extent, Yukino is shown as the victim. In volume 13, the author finally arranges almost a melodrama with Yukino with tears, with a certain amount of suspense…. And… what was all this for? After all, as it turned out in Volume 14, nothing happened … And then, all of a sudden, they begin to “date”. Seriously? Yukino just wanted to draw attention? Aaand… fan service ending ?! What do we have in the end? Hachiman dates with Yukino, and Yui remains in the club and is still in love with Hachiman … Wasn’t this the problem the author posed and tried to solve throughout the novel? As a result, we have some kind of “open ending” with an unresolved problem. But Yukino and Hachiman started dating, and, i guess, the fans do not need anything else.

Oh yes, I almost forgot, my main complaint. After all, I really hoped that Hachiman would date with Haruno. In fact, she is the only one who did not require changes in his character. (although I definitely do not like the idea of Hachiman to become a househusband). Throughout the entire light novel… it’s not that it was hard for Hachiman, but there was always a barely noticeable tension in conversations with Yukino and Yui. Can this be called a healthy relationship? Can this be called “genuine”? What would happen if he knew Haruno better? (The only person who does not complain about his character, but at the same time knows about his negative sides)

It seems 8man touches the true Haruno a little in v14 if my memory is still correct. So it’s possible that the author might hold 8man’s realization to be lanuched in the future.
