(Oregairu) analysis about Yukinoshita sisters that will reveal how and reasons why Yukinoshita Haruno (雪ノ下 陽乃) shows up and changes her sister’s job as hard mode during the school cultural festival in anime ss1 ep10-12.
Continue from the first part of the third phase – the end of Haruno’s secret plan to help her sister, Yukinoshita Yukino (雪ノ下 雪乃) during the festival.
Since “The First Part” is not enough for me to end this analysis since if I didn’t divide it into 2 parts, this analysis will be too long to read (more than other too long analysis I ever wrote). So here comes, The Last Part!! We still take a walk in LN v6, anime ss1 ep10-12.
Before I will continue analyzing in part 2, if you still didn’t read the first and the second phase yet, I strongly recommend you to read them first (I will paste link of part 1 too), before you will read this post. So you will not be confused.

And right now, I will reveal everything I found in LN v6 (anime ss1 ep10-12) and will focus on Haruno’s point of view mainly. If you already read the post, “”When” Haruno decides to help Yukino” above, you would read “the question series” I wrote at the end of that post. So yes, I will reveal the truths for those questions. But while I am writing this analysis, it appeared that it’s too long (more than other too long analysis I ever wrote), so I divided this third phase into 2 parts. And of course, this post is The Last Part and it will answer remained questions that The First Part didn’t reveal yet.

Before I will continue…
Let me tell the end of The First Part first, while Hachiman is working in the planning committee, Haruno who participates in the Cultural Festival, can spare time to visit to her little sister and him although she should be busy because she needs to prepare for the musical performance. Haruno always hides her feeling but it still leaks to the person who is sitting next to her. He can’t understand what she is aiming for, although she knows well about her little sister.
But when he asks Haruno about what she is thinking, she doubts he will believe her. Her question makes him retreat because he would not believe whatever she will say, because her image in his head will not let him trust her. So when she sees his expression, I feel that she is disappointed in his guts a bit because he just want to know, but will not believe her. The conclusion of this conversation for now is the transparent wall between them. But the remained truth behind their conversation is she wants someone to understand her too.
The School Cultural Festival The daytime LN v6, anime ss1 ep10-12, manga -Monologue- v4-5
Finally Sagami crosses the line.
Return the chairwoman. As she gets recognition from Haruno, this time she would do whatever she wants, just like Haruno is hoping. After she done talking with her friends, she announces her policy to everyone in the planning committee. Since she herself wants to spend time in the classroom, we can see if she and co. are the only one group who will stay there, people in the committee room would not be pleased. So in order to let her do whatever she wants, and no one will badmouth to her and co., she just lets people do the same thing as her too. And since she lets the vice do her job, so she doesn’t need to stay in the room more often.
Maybe Sagami never thinks what will happen if some people are united to follow her new policy. But she just wants more accomplices only, or just wants her desire becomes the righteousness. If the tyrant king wants, no one can say anything. But the nobleman (Yukino) who has the vision skill, does not agree with Sagami’s policy, so she tries to talk to the tyrant king to re-consider this again.
But I just say the witch next to Hachiman just takes a break, so when Haruno is listening to this new policy, she knows it’s in accordance with her secret plan. Right now the tyrant king is doing what she is expecting. But she sees Yukino is going to stop Sagami, so she needs to stop the nobleman and makes this policy to be accepted by supporting the tyrant king. Since she is the former chairwoman who made the legend in the school festival, then whatever she says, it would convince most people in the room.
But just this is not enough, after Sagami is supported by Haruno, she uses this superiority to win Yukino again. Her remark that is sarcastically to Yukino. But it seems Meguri doesn’t like what she says but she has no any right to stop her either. Sagami doesn’t care whatever her enemy will say and clings to the whisper of the witch who is supporting her instead. So the fight ends. I am not sure people in the room don’t see what will happen. Or they just go with the flow? or maybe they don’t want to work hard at the beginning? But they end up clapping hands.
However, there are some citizens who don’t agree with the tyrant king’s policy, but since they are just citizens, they can’t deny the big current. But the dark witch is pleased with this event. Although Hachiman doesn’t like Haruno supports Sagami, but it’s Sagami who announces this policy, so it’s not her fault. But he right now, can’t understand why she supports Sagami and makes her sister get more burden.
So I’m sure he would misunderstand about her intention again, since he thinks this woman is a bit hard to deal with. For now, she will make her sister get more heavy burden, but it will not be like this forever, because the tyrant king will destroy herself soon by being the enemy of the country that will make citizens suffer. She will use people’s power to drive the tyrant king out of the country. What she needs is just time. So although Haruno might be so upset when she heard Sagami used sensitive topic (that compares herself and her sister earlier) to hurt her sister, but she and her sister will gain gigantic benefits, so she can wait.
However, will the witch know or not that “a certain citizen” next to her has the same element as her?
Dark
Maybe Haruno would feel sorry to everyone or…
Although everything go according to Haruno’s plan, but I think she would know that because of her too, everyone who still stays in the committee room are getting trouble. So although she is very busy in her own work, she comes to the conference room to lighten the load. But I wouldn’t side with her because although she is helping, she doesn’t help everyone except her sister’s work. I don’t think this is her fault 100% because this is what Sagami did and she didn’t make this kouhai become the chairman either, so although she will not announce policy that benefit to her, Haruno can predict that Sagami will cause the damage to the vice in the near future.
Therefore, if Haruno didn’t support Sagami, Sagami will try to push forward this policy anyway since she announced to the public already. What Haruno do is just pushing Sagami to the area of the destruction faster since she realized that this kouhai is Yukino’s enemy. Yukino’s enemy is her enemy. That’s why I need to accept the truth that Haruno’s sympathy toward others can’t compare to her high expectation toward her plan.
Slow but easy steps to drive Sagami
Sagami will be driven sooner or later, because…
- If the crisis in the planning committee happens, the one who will take responsibility, is be the one who caused it.
- And people (who still work until now) will blame her for what happened.
- About people who follow Sagami’s policy, will be blamed (indirectly) too, because if they didn’t skip their duty, the crisis will not happen. But people will do anything to survive, they will be united and blame the leader, because she was the one who announced this policy, they just follow her only.
- The dissatisfaction of everyone will be directed to the tyrant, so how can she survive in the planning committee if everyone blame her (and maybe her two friends would go with her too)?
- This news will reach to the advisers’s ears. Hiratsuka-sensei and Atsugi-sensei.
- Since Sagami (and co.) gone, the most suitable person who should be the chairman, well you can guess who. Everyone in the planning committee and teachers will be untied voting her little sister who worked all times, Yukino to accept this position formally. Yukino would not has any reason to refuse, since she has been working Sagami’s duty. And after her sister accepts this position, the next event that Haruno is expecting is the unity of everyone.
- With Yukino’s lead to restore the bad situation. If it goes well, everyone will recognize and admire her. Haruno expects that everyone’s recognition will make her little sister gains the self-confidence. If she reaches to that point, the inferior feeling toward Haruno might be cured or better. And her sister can stand with her own legs.

I am not sure about Haruno’s objective, but this is the easy steps of Haruno I can think.
But!
The birth of The dark warrior
I will not write about Hachiman much because people in other communities did that for a long time. But when he goes to check up on Yukinoshita, this is the first time the trio spend time together after the crisis in the committee room happening. All of them don’t like the present situation but time will not help this situation better either.
So after he sees Yukinoshita’s condition and this is the result because of the cruel world (Sagami and people who are skipping), I notice he is filling dark energy when he is so negative in “the world”, like when he realized that Tsurumi Rumi (鶴見 留美) surrendered to the cruel world (her childish classmates).
And this time, his dark power is maximum and ready to change the world (the situation in the planning committee room). When he planned to destroy the problem of Rumi and directed behind the scene, I think he is like the dark wizard. But in this LN v6, he will change the class, the dark warrior.
Hachiman destroys Haruno’s plan.
When I titled Hachiman as the dark warrior, I mean he confronts everyone with guts and dark energy, not direct from behind the scene like when he saved Rumi anymore, and he will do it by himself because this problem effects him directly, he doesn’t cooperate with other people like what happened in LN v4. For this problem, he deal with this problem alone and suffers alone (I don’t mean that he thinks that others are not in the same situation as him but no one recognizes his suffering) so he do it alone. And confronting people all alone like that, if he still can endure this hardship, I don’t see why he decides to destroy people he hates. So dark warrior is the suitable class. …Or the berserker?
Right now, you can see Haruno and Hayama attend the meeting to discuss about the slogan for the Cultural Festival too. Although Haruno’s plan is effective, but it needs time to see the result. However “a certain boy” cuts the plant she is growing. Hachiman launches the plan to destroy [Sagami’s policy] and makes people who followed her policy feel ashamed in their doing, by reproaching them, using the slogan he presents to everyone, and continues by looking at him as the example.
This is just the complaint in people’s eyes, because people judge him by his action only, so they misunderstand about him. And anyone who are slacking off would be upset, although he doesn’t accuse them directly, but since his explanation hit where it hurts, they will never accept in what they did, so their anger direct to him, the one who makes them feel like that instead, and they cover their own fault by proving that they are not like he alleged just now by doing what is opposite with the description of his slogan, do their own jobs.
So the dark warrior slashes lazy king and folks with his cursed sword. But please don’t forget that “the certain dark witch” is there too.
The dark witch clicks four buttons “Haha”, “Wow”, “Like” & “Love” to that warrior.
Before Hachiman will sacrifice himself to destroy Sagami’s policy, he never knows what Haruno’s planning. But Haruno herself doesn’t know what he is planning either. For her, her secret plan to burn Sagami will come true sooner or later, so she just sits and waits for that ending. But while she is waiting for Sagami’s fin@l destin*tion, she never expects Hachiman will confront Sagami and people who are slacking off. I know he doesn’t know her plan or else he might not do anything. But he do it because he believes the situation will not change and he can’t stand it anymore. So her secret plan to burn Sagami quietly, is destroyed by his hands as the result.
Actually, I didn’t get it why she laughs like that and got annoyed a bit, but that’s because I didn’t understand her thoughts and feelings. But if my analysis (“When” Haruno decides to help Yukino) is correct, I rethink her thoughts and feelings again. If you are Haruno, when your secret plan to burn Sagami is running smoothly, but an acquaintance who is sitting opposite to her, destroys her plan before her very eyes but gets the similar result, what are you feeling?
If you want to know why Haruno laughs like crazy ⇑, but Agrees With Hachiman.
I think when she hears his voice after Sagami is suggesting her slogan, she looks at him like other people do, because… she doesn’t know why he lets out his voice like that, so she looks at him. After she listens to his slogan and its description, she would be silent more than other people because of the description of this slogan and its description, I assume that she realize his true intention immediately. She can’t believe he will do something like this, it’s too much for her to maintain attitude, because it’s unbelievable.
When people see something out of their expectation, sometimes they will laugh, but it’s not laugh because it’s ridiculous or funny. When she says that he is totally idiot, I think she would think that he doesn’t need to do something like that since her plan will drive Sagami and opens the chance for her little sister to be the real chairman and restore the situation anyway. I didn’t say what he do is useless or foolish in Haruno’s eyes, but she thinks his sacrifice is not necessary and can’t believe her plan is shot and falls to the floor like that. That’s why the truth in front of her is indescribable for her. Maybe she has screws loose somewhere?
But she realizes why he do something stupid like this (since he is the one who is suffering in this situation) and really likes in his guts. No wonder his sacrifice will help her sister too, so although he destroys her secret plan in the single blow, she can accept this result. That’s why she says like that to support him (thumbs up!!) and listens to his explanation enthusiastically (in anime ss1 ep11).
I ever wrote assumption in the previous post that before Haruno will come to the school to help her sister, she would learn any effective strategies before that day will come. So after she sees him says as if he is the victim in this case, she who learns [how to make people of society grow] would know his true purpose to sacrifice himself like that. His action interests her, and his plan is consistent to what she is expecting too, so she gives high Haru scores to him.
So from my point of view this time, [the dark witch] and [the dark warrior] try their best in for their own purposes but with the same knowledge. No matter which one is right, [Yukino] or [the nobleman] gains benefit.
Although I will not say Hachiman do this for the sake of Yukino and other people, because he just hates people who make him suffer unnecessary.
While Haruno plans to drive Sagami away from her position so Yukino will be the chairman and her effort will be recognized by people so she will be more confident. But she didn’t plan for Yukino’s sake only, but for her own wish too (she hopes her and her sister will be close siblings again as the final result).
Anyway, that’s why I titled this heading like this, Haruno presses four buttons to express her feeling to Hachiman (maybe she has her own face***k accounts?).
The one who will guarantee that Sagami’s world will be destroyed.
This is what I noticed while inserting images for this post, I noticed that whenever Sagami do something bad to the people in the planning committee (such as Yukino) or launches the astray policy that will benefit to her and co., she will do that when teachers (Hiratsuka-sensei and Atsugi-sensei) are not there, in the conference room. I think although she is the chairwoman, she is still the student, so she wouldn’t want teachers know what she do.
So I am not sure that Hiratsuka-sensei being here when Hachiman revealed how Sagami and some astray people are doing, is just coincidental, or he intends to to report this issue to the teacher at the beginning. But it seems sensei never knows about Sagami’s doing before because she suspects what Hachiman means and asks explanation. This is the first time that teacher knows about what is happening in the planning committee. I don’t know he aims for this or not, but if the teacher realizes everything, although Hiratsuka-sensei might not talk with Sagami in private, she can’t do what she pleases anymore because her actions was informed to the teacher already.
Even the nobleman clicks “Wow” to the dark warrior.
I wrote how Haruno laughes because the truth in front of her is indescribable. and I think we forget that “another person” is feeling the same but with different reasons. Before Hachiman will suggest the slogan, we can see Yukino right now is doing her best alone because she doesn’t know other way to solve this problem, and she lied to Hachimna (in LN v5). (although Yuigahama told her she should rely on her and Hikii), but she ask anyone to help her from this situation.
For Hachiman, the car accident and how she tried to hide her own mistake in LN v5 still effects her. She thought he hates her because she never tells him she also got involved in that accident. So she can’t rely on him, and he is working hard for the planning committee so she can’t ask him to do more than that.
But after she watches his sacrifice, his effort lifts her burden automatically. So her reaction is not different from Haruno’s. What he did is indescribable. She can’t believe he will do it to save her from this difficult situation. I assume that Yukino sees herself as the center of her own life, so she is thinking he did this to save her (and their conversation earlier is another reason). When she laughs like crazy but quietly, her reaction might be like I assumed. However I have no any solid evidence since she never says what is on her mind when she is laughing but tries her best to cover her laugh with paper so her usual image will not be cracked in front of people. But I think what she and her older sister are feeling are similar. Screws loose.

So when Yukinoshita sisters laugh like crazy (Haruno laughs as if her larynx was plugged in guitar amplifier, and Yukino laughs like the tsunami crashing the dam wall) like that, this is not assumption, but I notice that sometimes, both of them are very similar in terms of their opinion toward Hachiman although their understanding are different completely.
The tiny but important development of Yukino
After Hachiman destroys new policy of Sagami, Yukino talks with him if it’s all right to not disillusion of other people. He insists he will not do that, making excuses just to make people can understand his will is like begging forgiveness. There’s no anything to forgive, and asking this from others will crush his pride.
His firmness makes Yukino review something that is unknown for us, since she doesn’t say about this much, except one thing.
“…Then, that means I’ll just have to ask again.”
I don’t know what she means back then, but I assume her attitude is changing after listens to his words. I think she finally …accepts that his doing earlier is reasonable. Surrendering the world (or people like Sagami) by insisting to do her best but choose the “wrong way” (shoulder the double duties alone) is not right. This is what Yukino did all times, but when she watches Hachiman defies the world Sagami built up for her own selfishness and stays firm although the world (other people) will not acknowledge his doing. This event changes her own attitude to consider her own action until now (close her heart from others). The word “ask” that she mentions, it means she will open her mind again, she will let other people know what she wants to do (such as Yuigahama’s desire to want to help her).
And I don’t mean anything relate to Yuri.
If Yukino can think to this point, it means she accepts her wrong doing, and intends to change in better way. This is the starting point of understanding about herself.
That brought the result she can “ask” people to help her, while she will try her best too.
Even Haruno sympathizes with him, so…
Since she knows he sacrificed himself to change the situation, and that situation is what she got involved with (supported Sagami) so he endures the negative waves from others who hate him. So when she comes to the committee room, she comes straight to him first and pats his head to show her sympathy for him although her outer appearance doesn’t say that.
I think she knows Hachiman learns how to make people united since she asks as if she is sure he knows the answer of her quiz. And when she is explaining about the key to make people united until he is annoyed, I feel that this is how she wants to help him, by explaining this loudly so people around him will hear it too. Since she is the beauty and right now people who are working hard would insult him and watch attentively for his mistake (such as if he stops working or takes a break), so if she, the beauty is near him, the enemy of the committee room, at least people around him would notice her and might listen to what she says to him.
So although she says as if she doesn’t care he got more work, I think it’s weird to make a quiz while he is so busy like hell. I notice when she is speaking loudly like that, she wants other people to hear her words too (just like when she did many times in the planning committee room). Maybe this is just me only to think positively to her like that. But I ever thought she doesn’t care she will be bothering him or she just want to show off she is knowledgeable or something.
One of reasons she discuss about this topic with him is simple, but you need to look via her point of view. If she and him learn society/human knowledge, and she watched him challenged other people by revealing they are lazy recently, I think she just wants to share this knowledge with him since it’s rare to find out someone who also interested this topic. Don’t forget that I assume that she plans to develop her sister to gain confidence, so when she finds out someone who helps her (although destroyed her plan at the same time), she would want to discuss with that person.
Haruno speaks profusely.
After her explanation, her remark and gesture make him realizes that she acts like the enemy of her sister so Yukino can grow. When she sees his expression changes as if he realizes what she is doing, but she doesn’t want him to say that clearly because… I mean she wants this to be secret between them only, so she seals his mouth. Although what she is doingwill not make it secret if he still wants to say, but she still gives him a hint that “this is secret”, don’t need to tell anyone, especially my sister. And when she says “just kidding”, I think she wants him to forget what she said just now, although what she says “kidding” will not help much. I think it’s surprising to see her like this. I think she doesn’t want anyone know her reason but she forgot to seal her mouth when she explains more info more than necessary.
Haruno has a good time.
As I wrote, I assumed that Haruno might regret in Hachiman’s suffering because of her (and her little sister is throwing tons of documents to him just now), so she will not go home although her sister drives her back, and takes half of his work so she can decrease his burden in half. But when her sister asks her to review the budget together, I think Haruno is pleased because her sister lets her work together.
“…Jeez. I’m going to review the budget, so if you’re going to do something, then let’s go and do that.”
When Hachiman sees Haruno’s suspicious smile for a brief moment, I think she finally has a chance to do something together with her little sister, that’s why she smiles like that. ♥♥♥ I think even a little moment like this, is what she wants for a long time. And come to think of it, this is the first time Yukino lets Haruno come to her personal space.
About Hachiman’s suspicion in Haruno’s schedule. He doesn’t get why she can show up so frequently although she should be busy in her own practice for the musical performance. This is just my opinion, but I think she practices before she will come to participate in the Cultural Festival, with this she will has free time to visit the committee room because her practice time is enough to play. I think if she wants to help her sister, she would know in advance that she needs to have free time to visit the committee room. If she is busy and can’t visit her sister so often, I wouldn’t see how she can help her sister either.
After Hachiman’s Meg*nte and everyone are working hard, Haruno, Meguri and people in the committee room praise Yukino because of her effort. Since she invites Haruno to do work together, you can see Haruno can get close to her sister fully. But when Haruno says…
“This is how a planning committee should be! Ahh, I feel so gratified right now.”
In LN, as Hachiman thinks her words is not the praise for everyone, but he thinks she is reviewing people who didn’t work hard previously and the one who led them, Sagami. I don’t know Haruno is thinking like that or not, but if she understands the reason why the situation earlier happened, you can say who she blames is not Sagami only, but other people who followed her policy without thinking too, if they don’t do that, it’s no way Sagami alone can make the situation worse. This scene in LN is different from anime ss1 ep11 and manga -Monologue- v5. In LN, Haruno says this after she praises her little sister. In anime and manga, she says this after her sister allows her to help reviewing the budget. In manga, you can see who she is watching while she said this.
While Haruno says this remark, she observes the chairwoman and smiles when Sagami cramping the paper in her hand. I think maybe Haruno might blame people who didn’t work hard, or observing everyone is not what anyone will do. But Sagami, the symbol of the nightmare earlier will be best target for observing. However, I don’t know what Haruno is planning after this because she says “tomorrow will be so fun, right?” and looks at him for only a moment.
Yukino wants to be amazed like her sister.
Since Yukino would know the musical performance Haruno is participating, so she and Hachiman go to the gym watching her performance. Yukino comments her older sister is amazed like usual. She thinks she wants to be like her. I don’t know when he hears Yukino’s words, it reminds him when Haruno talked to him that her little sister always trying to match with her, trying to take after her, or not I don’t know, but he replies that she doesn’t have to be like her older sister, just stay as she is. However, it seems she didn’t listen to him, I think her belief to be like her sister is so strong, or this is what she focusing on all times?
Or is Haruno feeling terrified?
Skip to when Yukino needs Haruno’s help so she calls her over.
Since in the anime, the scenes are changed so you will not see how Haruno feels like that. The dialogues started to be changed when Yukino called to her sister and said different from what she said in LN.
“Nee-san, help me out.“
In anime and manga -Monologue-, when Yukino calls her sister, she says what is in her mind immediately. And the next scene is Haruno understands and wants to help if this is her little sister’s request. But anime and manga -Monologue- had not the scene when Haruno “pauses” when her little sister is asking her to help (after the call). So you can see Haruno acts so powerful only, her post might make watchers think she is acting like she is villain or tough (just like she acted in the committee room), or she is Yandere, etc.
Just changing some dialogues and hiding some scenes can hide the deepest truth of Haruno.
In LN, what happened when Yukino calls Haruno over is different from anime & manga -Monologue-, when Yukino decides to call her older sister, she appears immediately but she doesn’t know why her sister calls her over.
“Helloooo, Yukino-chan. Did you need something? I want to watch the bands perform, you know. It’s almost Hayato’s turn too.” Yukinoshita Haruno’s smile was frighteningly overflowing with composure.
She says she wants to watch the band perform, and I believe she is watching but I don’t know she wants to watch Hayama’s turn too or not, since she responds Yukino’s summon immediately. And her smile didn’t make me believe she is looking for Hayama’s performance. So I don’t know her excuse is true or she doesn’t want to make them know that if she has the chance to help her sister again, she will be there.
But when Yukino “asks her to” help them, I think Haruno doubts in her little sister’s intention so she needs to check by gazing. I don’t know why Haruno acts like there’s alarm in her head, as if the trap is in front of her. So I think there are two reasons.
Haruno still remembers the past.
Maybe, in the past, as she was the first idol of Yukino, she always respond Yukino’s expectation whenever she asked her for help, and she did her best to help her cute sister because she cares for her little sister. But it turned out that this action might be one of reasons that lead to the shattering of their relationship or the trio (include Hayama). So to not repeat the history, Haruno would to be on guard so she will not make the same mistake again. That’s why she acts like she will not answer Yukino’s request so easily. Or maybe she doesn’t want to help her because she is terrified because her little sister reminds her the bad memories.
Or Haruno Is Seeing Her Mother’s Shadow.
But please don’t forget the story in LN v5. Haruno tells Hachiman and Yuigahama how her mother asks her and Yukino to do jobs for her. She surrenders to go against her mother so what she can do is just follow her. This means she doesn’t like what her mother do to her. So when she is seeing her mother’s shadow overlap Yukino, I assume that she would not allow her sister force her like her mother uses her to work.
If my assumption about Haruno is terrified because she is too sensitive when she hears word “ask”, is correct, then her fear might connect to this Oregairu Analysis – 3rd Memorandum: If so, just whose monologue was it? in LN v10 and the second phase of this analysis (link is above). In the analysis – 3rd Memorandum, if you want to know who she is terrified the most, you can read for more detail.

Or These Two Reasons Are Correct?
Or it’s possible that Haruno doesn’t want to jump helping her sister because these two reasons above.
I’m not sure which reasons is the cause that makes Haruno doesn’t want to help her little sister, she pauses, doesn’t say yes immediately and changes her mode to “standby mode” for whatever her little sister will say. However, if I need to choose, I would tend to her sister more than her mother because of the discussion between Haruno and Hachiman in ∨n makes me can understand Yukino’s condition that Haruno wants to fix.
Meanwhile Haruno’s discontent when she witnesses that her younger sister is going to be like their mother in LN v8, is the new condition because Haruno realizes for the first time when she observes her sister in the cafe. So I should not consider that Haruno sees mother’s shadow overlap with Yukino in this v6.
“Ohh… sure. This is actually the first time Yukino-chan has ever asked me for something. So I’ll listen to your request just this once.” Those words that were spoken from high above sounded benevolent yet in them were no traces of sweetness. It was overly relentless, much more so than outright refusal.
So Haruno limits number of Yukino’s request to just one. But from Hachiman’s point of view when he listened to her tone, I think she doesn’t want her little sister to ask her like that person always asks her, so in her mind, the number of the request should be zero.
Or maybe Haruno considers the surroundings around her too. This time some people are watching them, so rejecting her sister is not easy since her words will make others think she is callous. That’s why Haruno says like that to maintain her image while she specifies the condition too.
Or Haruno knows well how her little sister will respond if she says like that. Her sister’s pride will not allow her (Yukino) to be inferior. Personally, I believe in this assumption. Yukino’s countermeasure will give Haruno the chance to escape from this request.
Now the battle Yukino vs Haruno begins!! …Her little sister tries to give her reasons to make her accept to help, the older sister reflects it. I think Haruno needs to act like she is so powerful to not let her little sister can force her to help. I feel that Haruno’s pose like the image below means she is in “the defense mode”, she will repel every skills her little sister will throw to her.
Yukino did the same by acting like her older sister, to corner Haruno so she will answer her expectation.
If you want to say Haruno acts like this because she wants to act like she is Yukino’s enemy so her sister will grow more, I can’t see this is what she is thinking right now anymore. Because she was the one who throw that role already. Return to when she praised and approached her sister after Yukino could deal any urgent problems of the planning committee. Haruno throw enemy role away, so if she wants to continue that role again after she is succeeding in helping her sister and Yukino was recognized by everyone, it’s still possible but it’s not reasonable at the same time because Haruno’s plan to help her sister was completed by Hachiman already.
When Yukino said there’s no any penalty but it will be the merit for her older sister instead. When Yukino explained more that she can make her in her debt, Haruno’s reaction changed. I think this merit is different from all requests she was asked by that person. She can gain anything in return, not just was used for other people’s purpose. That’s why Haruno’s reaction is like that.
When Haruno sees her little sister intends to pay the cost for this request, I think she realizes her sister is changing, while she herself is terrified in her own thought only. And when she heard from her sister that she is always this kind of person (maybe Yukino, the one who is honest and correct), I am not sure how Haruno is thinking, but I feel that she is absorbing this truth, she finally meets her little sister who is grown up. What she put effort into helping her sister is not in vain. I assume like this when Haruno listened to Yukino’s word previously and she shuts her eyes. To never forget this moment, or to hide her happiness, or to absorb that this happens for real (her sister changes as she expected).
So if you ask me which reasons is correct, I think the first reason has more weigh than the second. But I still think both of them have some connection that link with their past, so I can say that the second reason is indirect cause, the first one is Haruno’s trauma because she couldn’t help her sister from a certain incident in the past although Yukino (when she was still a kid) saw her as dependable sister. You can notice that Yukino never depend on her sister in the whole Oregairu story (except this time) for some reason.
The first sign of the same over-dependency but changes target.
Another hint that supports the assumption that Yukino’s word above reminds Haruno the bitter memory again, can be founded in a certain ∨n. Haruno tells Hachiman something that I don’t know what she means, but her words at that time, makes realize some truth.
You can’t forgive yourself and others to run away.
(forgive me if this quote’s not exactly same.)
This quote makes me suspect that a certain author gave us an important hint that helps us understand some part of what happened to Yukinoshita sisters. If I connect this quote with Yukino’s quote above that she is asking for Haruno’s help, then it means that the first reason why Haruno feels terrified to her sister’s words, would be the main reason. Let me TL her quote so you will find Haruno’s truth.
You I (Haruno) can’t forgive yourself myself and others (Hayama) to run away.
…That explains how she can’t forgive everyone who couldn’t save her little sister that includes herself. And it also explains her hatred toward a certain boy.
If I link this theory and another truth between Hayama and Haruno that I TL in another post, I can see how she had high expectation in him because although it was also difficult for him, she still asked him anyway because he was her only hope to save “her precious”. And Hayama’s next speech is …Haruno’s opinion about him that reflects how she felt after she understood the true Hayama. If my TL and the first reason are correct, I begin to understand her stubbornness to not help her little sister and tries to eliminate Yukino’s logic with the reality, also her fear. She has her own story and reason to not move.
Even during the performance, Yukinoshita sisters quarrel.
ps. Their quarrel didn’t happen in anime and manga -Monologue-.
After Hachiman succeeded in his job, he returns and watches the band performance. Haruno (the drummer) teases her little sister by accelerating the rhythm. This will make people in the band notice, so Yukino (the guitarist) who knows her older sister is teasing her, fights back in return. But another member of the band, Hiratsuka-sensei (the bassist) has headache. She can’t believe that these two kids (sensei is adult) can find nano chance to quarrel in the middle of the band performance like this. So before their battle will make the performance collapse, she used the sound of the bass to stop them.
However, the bad signal also happened.
I analyzed the good point that happened in this moment. But I didn’t expect to find out a bad signals that happened in Yukino’s mind too. It’s like two sides of the same coin.
She was admiring and misunderstanding in him at the same time.
What do I mean? I will return to when Hachiman destroyed Sagami’s policy again. And I will view via the point of view of Yukino. I want to point that almost people see everything around them by holding her/himself as the center point, Yukino herself is not different. When her suffering has ended by his effort, she misinterpreted that “he saved her and everyone”. This event happened again when he confronted Sagami at the second time.
These lead to “the misunderstanding in his image”. I mean, after she talked with him after his battles previously, she interpreted the boy named Hachiman, include with his unwavering attitude and vision (to not surrender to the cruel world or superficial (that he always mentioned). These factors and his actions (confront Sagami) became…
“his image” in her mind.
I will say that her mistake to believe in his unwavering image will lead to the bad ending later, in LN v7, (anime Oregairu Zoku ss2 ep2).
But let’s return to this present first.
So Haruno clicked “Love” button to Hachiman repeatedly.
Since Haruno, who I assumed that she would learn strategies that will make people growth, saw Hachiman sacrificed himself to change the situation in the committee room, his action opened the opportunity for her little sister to do her best and was praised by everyone that we can notice that Yukino makes a deal with her that is the good sign (not use people but take the risk if you want to ask someone for help, making the deal means Haruno will gain the benefit while Yukino get her sister to play the concert). And by the second effort, his action eliminated Sagami’s mind that makes her do her job properly and Hayama took the credit while what Hachiman gains is … The festival is successful because of everyone but he was the one who chooses the difficult methods to change things that means he is so tired more than anyone.
When she sees her little sister can grow up by his help many times, it’s normal that Haruno would be so impressed to him. The one who has similar point of view and the same knowledge with him, should understand what he did the most (not 100% but oh well). However, if you look via Haruno’s point of view, she is the sames as her little sister, she interpreted that he did all of these for everyone, helped even Sagami to not meet her worst ending too. But she interpreted like that because she might not realize that he is suffering, thinks he is fine or even strong despite this is not like that. This moment makes me understand that even someone who can see right through anyone, can’t understand his emotion. Maybe it is because…
- she never experience this by herself
- or never see someone did something like this before
- or even she is forcing the false image (Hachiman is strong, kind and correct <= hero’s characteristic) to him like many characters do to other people they admire.
I am not sure which one is correct or most of them are correct but I think 1) is not consistent because she who tried to be Yukino’s enemy, should know how it is painful while she was taking this role. But at least I am sure that 3) is the most consistent since even Haruno doesn’t not escape from this rule, “seasons” other people and gets the fixed image despite people always change.
So Haruno who thought he is the dark hero, so she gives high Haru scores to him. While she didn’t give any feedback to another one who brought Sagami back, because I didn’t see Haruno talked with Hayama anymore, excerpt when they met at the committee room.
So when Hachiman told Yukino to thank Hayama too, because if he was not there, it would not work, Haruno who hears his words, thinks he is humbling, but Hachiman doesn’t want any praise like that, because he didn’t intend to help Sagami at all or even be the saint who sacrificed himself to help everyone. However, when Hachiman said as if Hayama tried his best more than him, she interprets that he is modesty instead. So Haruno, who owed him a lot, praised him because of his heroism and she was deeply moved.
“Gosh, you’re just awesome, Hikigaya-kun. I heard about what happened from everyone, you know. That heroism of yours really gets me going. It actually might be kind of a waste on Yukino-chan.”
After I considered her quote above, I think she is telling the truth or this is her feeling toward this boy.

As @Nightwalker asked me to explain more about the last speech of Haruno said to Hachiman (the red texts) ⇑. The result from interpretation her words is up to “how” you do think about her. If I think that Haruno, as the older sister who always matches Hachiman and her younger sister, I will think straightforwardly that she means as she said. She ever thought both of them should be the couple. But after she witnessed and heard his actions, she started thinking that he is too good for Yukino. This is simple and clean assumpsion. If you believe in her words truly when she talked about him and her little sister (such as these scenes of her in…
(ln v4, anime season 1 ep 8) she “warned” Yuigahama to not target Hachiman because he belongs to Yukino.
(ln v8, anime season 2 ep3) she “wondered” what Yukino thinks if she knows Hachiman ever confessed his feeling to Orimoto Kaori (折本 かおり).
But I ever wrote about how she “use Yukino-chan to cover her true feeling” aka Haruno’s style in Oregairu Analysis – And Then, Yukinoshita Haruno Launched Operation Fire Doughnut! (Part 1) that pointed how Haruno hides her true feeling that always happen many times, such as two scenes above.
And I include the two scenes in ln v10 when she “asked” him where Yukino is and acted like she was “disappointed” that her younger sister went home already. Another scene is when Hachiman gave her thanks after she gave him suggestions about his career path. To “cover” her happiness that she can help him and he showed his gratitude, she “coughed and asked” him if he asked Yukino about her career path. (in anime Zoku, the first scene was cut)
Then what’s the point? When I notice all scenes carefully, I notice that when Haruno was going to hide her true feelings or intentions whenever Hachiman (and sometimes, other people) was listening, she used “Yukino” so he and everyone will not notice her own thoughts.
And I will point second important clue that she will do like this, everytime Hachiman was there too.
The last and the most important point is I will point that every time she activated her style by using Yukino, if you exclude her style or her words that make everyone misinterpret, no matter how much unbelievable in the remained things after cut her barrier aka the speeches that have “Yukino” word,
It is her true feelings (truths).
And Haruno’s words this time is not different. She still used the same style in the last speech. But it’s also possible that she might mean as she said. However her story helped me tl her emotions.
Yukino’s change and the heroism of Hachiman made Haruno’s interest in him increased continuously. I feel she really admires his bravery and sacrifice for good deeds, her praise is not weird if she said in front of him and others. But when she was going to say “her feeling toward him or even desire him”, maybe it’s her instinct, maybe she knows she can’t say it out loud, maybe she won’t let him know. That’s why she used her usual style to bend her words that became teasing her younger sister.
This is her true feelings or the meaning of her words.
So Haruno and Yukino can be close (a little bit) again (although they are not so close like when they were kids), but I think this is very OK for Haruno, at least for now.
Something is still the same.
When Hachiman says he is impressed in the band performance but Yukino thinks he watched her so she is so embarrassed until Haruno needs to interject her, because it’s rare to see her little sister is like this. Before Haruno will go back home, she says the legendary keyword “mom” again to check her little sister’s condition. From Yukino’s reaction, Haruno knows that something is still the same, but she is satisfied with the final result so she leaves.
The conclusion
So in the end of LN v6, Haruno participated in the Cultural Festival to help her sister to be the better person, by do something behind the scene so her sister will do her best and got acknowledgement from other people. If she can recover Yukino’s the self-confident, her sister would not feel inferior to her anymore, and she would come back to her again, so she (Haruno) will not feel lonely anymore.
But the big obstacle of her secret mission, Sagami, will ruin her secret mission because she is not serious in her own position, and that will make her little sister will not get acknowledgement from other people like she is hoping, so she supports Sagami and acts as if she is Yukino’s enemy. If she supports Sagami, who will do something that will cross the line, she will support her (since she was the former chairwoman). As the result, Sagami made the work in the planning committee worse. But Sagami will make people in the committee room are so upset to the point that they might be enemy with the chairman, Sagami will be driven away from the position.
However, Haruno’s secret plan was destroyed by Hachiman’s hands, but she still accepts if his sacrifice will be benefit to her secret mission. With his sacrifice, the work in the planning committee is better, her sister did her best and got acknowledgement from other people. But Haruno regrets he got more work and other people are so negative in him, so she explained the effective theory that makes people united fluently so other people might get why he did this (The result of her effort is unknown until now, but I checked in LN, and people didn’t insult him anymore for some reason). But her explanation made him realize the reason why Haruno acts like she is Yukino’s enemy, so she needs to seal his mouth. However, he still doesn’t know her true intention of Haruno (get her sister back so she will not feel lonely anymore).
Although she is busy, she will find free time to help Hachiman and Yukino. I think she feels sorry for him and her sister because she supported Sagami and that made them suffered.
Finally, Yukino is succeed in doing her duty, Haruno and everyone praised her. But she didn’t forget to send hidden message to Sagami too.
The first time we can see Haruno is terrified when she “was asked to help”. This might connect with what she said in LN v5 (her mom is scary because she always orders her to follow her order).
The first sacrifice of him still effected Yukino too, so we can see her attitude changed (do her best and rely on others).
His second effort to bring Sagami back is successful and he got many Haru scores but Yukinoshita sisters misinterpreted his doing (he did that to help everyone).
However, does she know or not that although her plan and his sacrifices are very effective, their strategies changed her little sister like she expected, but it didn’t reach “the core” of the problem of herself and her sister?
Actually, the next event of LN v6, is the event in Drama CD v7. But if you read LN v8 already, you will know that Haruno’s secret plan and Hachiman’s sacrifices didn’t change her little sister permanently. Yukino still wants to be distant from her like usual. The trouble between Yukinoshita sisters still continue, but although Haruno and Yukino still don’t have courage to talk with their mother to solve this problem, to understand each other, at least for now, Haruno tried her best to help Yukino so she will get her back, although right now, the terrified feeling of her toward her mother can’t make her wish comes true permanently yet. I ever mentioned about Haruno’s fear when she was asked to by others to do as they expected, because it will connect to the manipulation within Yukinoshita family that she gave hint in LN v8. More about Haruno’s fear when she was asked to by others to do as they expected, because it will connect to the confession of this person in the third memorandum in LN v10. “The true conclusion” of her plan to help her sister during the festival lies here. Although she doesn’t want to hurt her little sister, her sister’s action makes her decide to stop her at all costs. Stopping her sister means hurting her sister. But no one know that this person hurt the most. And it becomes “the final conclusion” of helping her sister that starts during the cultural festival.

I confess i ever reviewed about this legendary keyword before but what I is just guess only. I dont have any solid answer. I just have assumptions after read this story & find out other references from other tv series too, since oregairu is the story about peoples mind.
I cant promise you i will definetly write about this topic for sure since if I will write about this, it must be on the queue because there are many oregairu topics (vol 10-12) I decided to write.

I’m from Brazil, now that the LN it’s finally released officially on EUA, I hope I can buy the volumes and start read them as well, at this point, I’ll read the manga and see what I can get of new perspective and vision overall.

Another thing, is that Yui are so upset about Yukino acceptance of Sagami request – even considering she is not the smart person – maybe are connected to the fact that she remembers what Haruna talked on the Festival too, about people that feels envy of Yukino, even without the most brilliant brain, she can smells the trouble using her feminine intuition, Sagami from the start is not that hard to see trough the appearances.

If LN v12 has new questions that I’m very interested and we need to wait for the right answer in v13 (or more), I will.
But if this volume already has the answers in issues I want to write in the future, I will not. Because it’s weird to write what that has the right and clear answer, I guess.

I love how you analyse all this, and compare oreigairu in all the format. I found this extremely difficult, because there are so many details in the LN and subtility, and is so long to read, that’s why, when I read a volume, and watch the episode corresponding to the volume, I forgot all this little difference.
I just finish to read again the 6th first volume before read your analysis. Understand Haruno generally, it’s a really hard task, but Haruno in this sequence is for me a nightmare. And, in your analysis, there still something I don’t get in the Haruno plan.
You say, Haruno took the decision to help her sister, in order that she gains selfconfidence, esteem from other and surpass her idolatrous image of Haruno during the festival.
But, with this idea, there two point I don’t get.
First, you say in the part “When Haruno….”, that Haruno don’t like that her sister follow the same path than her, so I thiough she will do something to help her sister to find and follow her own path. But her, she just plans to help her sister, to realize what she did. You can argue that if Yukino surpass her sister by organizing the festival, something you analyse like Haruno apogee, she could prove to herself than she is not inferior to Haruno, and so, break free to Haruno shadows, and so, construct her own path. But we can also imagine that with this result, she will continue to follow Haruno path, because she will be confident to be now, not ashamed from the comparison with Haruno.
So for something plan, it’s a bit a gamble for me.
I will explain the second point that I don’t get it later.

To understand Haruno’s intention and how her plan will help her sister are very difficult. I spent so much time to write this TL case, but I can say that I have spent more time to the most consistent assumptions. When you told me that it’s so extremely difficult, I feel like I got a buddy. And you really did very great job to read LN v6 before read my analysis.
While I will be waiting for the second point of yours, let me answer your first point.
The important issue is, if Haruno’s plan succeeds and her sister gains more self-confident, it’s fine although Yukino still chooses to follow Haruno.
[Following someone because of her own decision] and [following someone because opinions of other people (comparison and perfection)] are different things.
So it’s fine if Yukino will follow Haruno without twist belief from their own family and unhealthy surrounding. In LN v5, Haruno tells how her mother manage lives of siblings clearly that emphasizes the inferiority complex of Yukino. When Yukino thinks that pursuing Haruno is correct, she doesn’t realize about the reason that made her decide like that. It’s very complex and difficult to be aware about this by ourselves. And I don’t think Haruno can explain about this sensitive topic to her sister, because it will add more guilt to Yukino. And AT-field of Yukino toward Haruno is very strong as we can see.
I think Haruno would know the bad ending if Yukino still believes like that. Haruno’s path also is written by her mother, so she would not agree if Yukino will follow the path that is wrong at the beginning. So no matter she will win or lose, Yukino will not gain anything. Surpass Haruno is not worthy, and fail to pursue Haruno will lose her confidence.

Ok, so the goal is to help Yukino to gain self confidence ? And she hope that the twist relationship with her sister will improve thanks to that, right ?
So I will take this assumption for truth for the following.
My main problem to understand Haruno is to study these different scenarios and predict what would happen in this case, with the goal in mind.
The scenario is :
1) Yukinoshita is the chairwoman like Haruno expected. What would happen in this case, and what Haruno would do ?
2) Sagami is the chairwoman, Yukinoshita is the vice and Haruno does not come, what would happen in this case ?
3) Sagami is the chairwoman Yukinoshita is the vice and Haruno is the dark witch, but Hachiman doesn’t.
4) the actual scenario (i don’t think the last Hachiman intervention, on the roof of the school, affect the Haruno plan)
For the 1), this is my main problem. What I imagine for this scenario is that Yukinoshita will do this job very well and impress all the committee and the public. Why I assume that ? Because, with the vice position, she amazed everyone, so I think it would be the same in a long run too.
But we can think that even if she amazed other people, she could be frustated to not equal the festival organized by her sister on her memory. What could Haruno do in this scenario to improve the result ? If she take part to the organization of the festival, the comparison between the two sister would be accentuate, and if Yukino succeed to equals her sister, she could think that it is thanks to Haruno.
So in this scenario, I don’t get what Haruno could do, and it’s really problematic, because it’s her primary plan, and the actual one you describe, it’s an adaptation to an unexpected.
2) for this point, I think, if Haruno was not here, the result will be the same like 1). Except for one thing, the public outside the commitee, will praise sagami for that. Before Haruno come, the comittee see the Yukino talent et Meguri praise her, and not Sagami, so i didn’t think it change really something compare to scenario 1) for the comittee.
In fact, it’s the same result that the point 4), because Saki saki think sagami is someone reliable because of the success of the festival, but the people who take part, know it’s just yukino success.
I don’t think Yukino care about opinion of the public, and it’s only a battle between Yukino and the image of Haruno, so opinion from other have no value.
3) That’s the scenario you describe here. But I don’t see a real plus value to the scenario 2 and 1. Perhaps the same sucess would be more amazing, because of the management of Yukino in a bad spot. But it’s not a part of the primary intention of Haruno, so …

I think I understand your feeling because Haruno’s plan is not clear and we don’t know her process step-by-step, also 8man’s intervention (because he doesn’t know about Haruno’s plan) stops Sagami’s ending that Haruno intends to make her meet the bad ending so she will not be Yukino’s thorn and obstruct Yukino’s growth. (Is she sis-con?) I can feel that Haruno comes to school to do what she intends and her secret intervention into the committee will make her know what she can do to make her little sister’s potential can be seen by people. (Haruno acts like a threat in 8man’s eyes but she is the threat that eliminates every trouble to realize her own wish.

For your 1), It’s possible that Yukino might be frustrated to not be equal with Haruno’s success or compares to her sister again. But if that happens like you say, Haruno’s praise will solve this problem. I mean… although Yukino will compare their success or she doesn’t think it’s her achievement, Haruno’s praise is the important factor to solve these problems. The praise from the one who Yukino thinks she is more perfect than her, will recover this inferiority complex and change Yukino’s point of view. And if Haruno & other people praises Yukino because they witness her perseverance (as we can see after the first 8man’s Meg@nte), Yukino will feel like you can see in LN v6.
A: I agree with you that what Haruno could do is really problematic. Although I don’t know her process since she never reveal and what I can do is assuming, but you can understand Haruno’s role when she talks about strong enemy. This keyword, her explanation to 8man (that how she is too knowledgeable, makes me suspect that she studied about how to make people (Yukino) grow before she will come to the festival) and how she shuts 8man’s mouth so he will not reveal her plan, makes me conclude that Haruno intends to take “the strong enemy role” to grow Yukino. However, Sagami is obstacle that Haruno can’t think in advance except she will meet this threat. So Haruno “throws” enemy role to Sagami and intends to side and support her (cheers for Sagami, complains to her about Yukino so she can side with her, supports every bad ideas she presents) so Sagami will be “the clear enemy of Yukino” and she will do more damage for the committee clearly, she will support her indirectly, as you can see few times in the story.
I think Haruno & 8man’s conversation that time is the trick of the author so he can reveal what Haruno intends to be. I think I wrote this somewhere before but my analysis are TL so you would not find where it is. But I wrote TL so I can explain my thoughts in detail.

A: I think Sagami will hate Yukino because she got attention that Sagami wants (volunteers to be the chair so she can be the special one). If Haruno doesn’t intervene, Sagami will be like Haruno told 8man & Yui, hates Yukino and will get rid of her, so Yukino will be left, rotten. For this case, it’s possible that Sagami (the chair) will bully the vice by giving overwhelming work to her or even carps Yukino in front of people (and these are 2 examples only, I don’t know how Sagami can think to bully or get rid of her, but she will definitely, notice from what she did during the festival). And if we combine Sagami’s desire to gather attention from people, it’s possible that she will take all credit for herself. So no matter the festival will be successful because of Yukino’s management, public will look at the chair. After Sagami got rid of Yukino from people’s attention, she will not interested how Yukino will feel since Yukino (Sagami’s enemy)’s suffering is her satisfaction. Yukino can’t grow and gets more painful experience.
Therefore, I didn’t include the possibility that Sagami’s bully might impact Yukino’s working that might make Yukino suffer and feel depressed. The hater will gonna hate. They will pull her leg so she will not be outstanding. I don’t believe that Sagami’s bully will not impact on Yukino. Every human has feeling. Sagami might use her position to control Yukino as she pleases. I mean, if bad people can bully someone and that person hurts, that painful feeling might change to the fear. This fear will control that person’s mind that allows bad people to control that person’s action. I don’t think Sagami is so smart, but Sagami’s contention in the story was shown clear. If Haruno didn’t show up, Sagami who can’t escape from this competition, will do anything to get rid of her enemy.
And since you suppose that Haruno doesn’t come, Sagami will not be more confident (Haruno didn’t support her), so I think Sagami wants to run from committee so she will not be compared to Yukino, but she wouldn’t find good excuse to escape from the committee either, so she would stay in this room and listen to people compare them. I think Sagami’s hatred will increase because of this. Her desire to suffer Yukino would be the same. Maybe I look at the dark side too much, but I will not underestimate the true nature of Sagami either.
But you can hope 8man will do something because he must witness Sagami’s behavior (bullies people for her satisfaction) that will gather dark energy for him to eliminate Sagami. However, if Sagami targets Yukino but her action doesn’t impact the committee and his works, also pls don’t forget that he is upset at Yukino at that time. I am not sure that 8man will decide to help her or not. He must weigh his anger and his grievance. But maybe he would forget about Yukino’s action, so he “might” discourage Sagami.
That’s why I don’t think it’s the same as what happened in the story, but I agree with you that the chair will be praise by public. I think opinions from the committee is not important because they will not help Yukino or stop Sagami. As long as the festival ends well, although Meguri and others saw everything and are sympathized with Yukino, no matter the festival is big successful or not, their words toward Yukino (who bullied by Sagami every time she had chances) is nothing, compares to her suffering all times during the festival. I doubt Yukino will accept their acknowledgement despite they didn’t help her from bad situation.

A: I am not sure what you want to ask in this 3), but I will suppose that what will happen if Haruno plans to help Yukino while 8man will do nothing.
Since Haruno understands that Sagami will be big obstacle for her plan and will be like other friends who bullied and got rid of her sister in the past, I think she will do something to get rid of Sagami. I assume that Haruno never hopes that 8man will step into this battlefield, I will assume more that she will wait until the damage within the committee is enough, and she will turn the spotlight to Sagami, who is the real culprit, in front of people. And it seems that Sagami’s policy is what she thought by herself, Sagami’s policy is like facing problem that Haruno will never know in advance until she sees it with her own eyes, so Haruno must solve this problem. I am not sure how to solve this problem, but I suspect that Haruno must “point” wrongdoer (Sagami). But for this situation, there’re more than 1 wrongdoer (Sagami and lazy people), but Haruno needs those people to return to work because they are necessary for Yukino (help her work), so she must show “the number one wrongdoer” instead. If the committee’s work is going to the crisis, people will find the culprit, and lazy people who don’t want to be blamed, they will point at someone (I think you’d know who). And to prove that they are not wrong, they will go back to work so fast like “flock of birds that are driven by fox”. This is how to get rid of Sagami and bring people back to work that I can think, solve problem as it should be and it must be consistent with Haruno’s objective.
And people who return to work, they might know by themselves that they are one part of this huge infliction, so before the huge damage will happen for real in public and they might be next to be blamed. That’s why their guilty and fear to be blamed, will drive them to work harder like hell.
I forgot who Haruno will take the most credit. If people return to work, they must cooperate with the vice seriously, and the vice must do her best to save this bad situation. And when everything is going well, everyone will appreciate “the noble”, another leader who helps them and endures this hardship together. And when this festival ends, this process will happen again but they might blame Sagami voicelessly because she almost lead them to the bad ending, while they would admire Yukino who saved them.
